Absolutely this! I'm most fucked off that so much thought/money is being put into toilets etc for entitled people, before even considering disabled access, and toilet provision like Changing Places for people that need help/support.

Really shows what a Men's Sexual Rights movement can do.

There is no way to draw up a pick list of qualities in the UK that doesn't have "physically disabled" at the bottom.

Keen observers will notice that the lions share of attention for the disabled focuses on the non physical aspects.

This is a real conversation from this year (2025)
"Have you got a ramp ?"
"No, but we have a lanyard scheme, will that help ?"

I note that the sainted Kemi has suggested disabled facilities are now to be used for trans folk. She can really go fuck herself.

YourAmplePlumPoster · 30/04/2025 12:42

It's easy to unpick their "logic." If it's dangerous for transwomen to use male toilets why is it not dangerous for males to enter female toilets and other single sex spaces?

Ah well, that would be because TWAW, doncha know. As feeble and as vulnerable as the non T variety.

Or some such.

logic and religion don't mix.

The Department of Education gave Penn 10 days to wipe out Thomas’ records. The school also was ordered to ban transgender athletes from women’s teams and issue apology letters to female athletes whose “educational experience in athletics (was) marred by sex discrimination.”

Finally.

although I don't think an apology is enough. The women should get compensation. They had to put up with a man ogling them in the changing room and taking their medals.

Why isn't it deemed a crime?

Retrospectively?

Voyeurism is a crime.

With the Supreme Court ruling in this country, they have clarified men are not allowed to women spaces. The fact they've been doing it doesn't make it right.

I'm not sure about the US law though. But listening to the women who had to get changed with Lia Thomas, and how he walked around naked, and looked at them?

Sounds like voyeurism to me.

Yes Tim was Brexit and no dogs and we loved his pubs. Surprised he thinks men are women

Yes you would have thought the reverse were true

So apparently the screenshot was from a question asked prior to the SC judgement and Spoons will be complying with the law...

Notice how the disabled facilities have been co opted into this solution. Presumably that's where baby transport systems get parked too, once you get all those wheelchairs out.

Not "disabled facilities". Accessible. Because that's what they are. Not the room that disabled people are obliged to use.

Theeyeballsinthesky · 13/05/2025 18:38

Well I’m shocked that a TRA would entirely misrepresent their conversation as taking place after the SC ruling rather than before. It’s almost as if lying is their default position

Etaerio · 13/05/2025 19:08

RipleyJones · 28/04/2025 07:59

Well that is embarrassing for them. How to announce to the world you’re stupid without announcing to the world you’re stupid.

Oh dear! Did you fail to check the accuracy of what you were pontificating about? How embarrassing!

The person responsible for circulating the screenshot made out that it was a response to an email after the SC ruling but before the EHRC guidance. Even included ‘screenshots’ of the email.

Now it turns out it was from July 2024 and somebody has been telling giant porkies.

Colour me shocked.

Wow! This is why there's really no point engaging as individuals. As Peter Daly said, you can't lie or not answer the question in court so that is where it will be worked out.

Against my better judgement I did engage on Reddit the other day. I shared the transwomen sex offenders in prison statistics and was told I was wrong and that that figure is actually trans women who have been involved in rape ie as the victim rather than the perpetrator 😵‍💫

I wonder if W/spoons have a defamation case against whoever first circulated the message. There must have been reputational damage from people thinking they wouldn’t comply with SC?

Glad they have clarified they will - still waiting for my employer and local sports centre to do so!

No, they would need to show that they suffered serious financial loss. The bar is rightly set high for companies bringing defamation cases against individuals.
