Why didn’t JKR spend her money on rape centres, women’s rights and abortion rights?

Because a) she already does, b) she already does and c) we already have those.

But thanks for popping along to mansplain it all to her, and us. Much obliged, I’m sure Hmm

Paul Brand, head of ITV News is a massive TRA. Also see any reports he does on surrogacy or assisted dying. He finds it impossible to be impartial. I'm waiting for Malcolm on X to do one of his mega threads on him. IMO he's a dangerous man in a powerful position. I think the other staff suck up to him.

Probably through fear of being sacked and/or cancelled.

Dropped in 2020 I think.

Not sure when the muscling in on women’s events started, but probably not long after that.

according to this, Emz was cut from the men's setup in mid August 2020 (not yet medicalised in any way), and looking to make it as a "trans athlete" no later than 12 October 2020, by then (call it 8 weeks max later) already certain that synthetic hormones had a profound enough on Emz's own performance (not trans performance in general) to make Emz's participation in the female category fair.

Emily Bridges: Coming out as trans in cycling is a crucial step on my journey

The intense Great Britain academy programme produces future Olympians - but for one of cyclings rising stars who was excelling in mens track, gender dysphoria was the greatest challenge. On Coming Out Day, Emily Bridges explains how her life has taken...

He really was never told no as a child, wasn't he?

I'm sorry to say so on Mumsnet, but in the cases it's exceptionally common for the mothers to be culpable in very large part. Mama Bridges shows to me mind many signs of being a seriously misguided individual.

Not unlike Susie Green

not many are quite in that league but, yes, quite.

Waitwhat23 · 24/04/2025 19:07

To be honest, I think it's more likely that no-one said no to him as a child. Over indulged and over insulated by all.

Well that’s very interesting. Wish him well, that is a very difficult surgery for a young person to have and lifetime implications.

And still won’t make him a woman.

I hope it doesn’t cause him to many medical issues in the future but there is nothing he can do to become a woman no matter how much he twiddles his plaits.

I meant potless, not spotless!

I thought "Emily" was kicked out of women's sport long before the supreme courts ruling?
