TakingMyChancesWithTheRabbits · 16/04/2025 10:20

Trina Budge on Sky News right now.

BuntyBeaufort · 16/04/2025 10:20

It’s really not hard to deduce on which side of the argument the BBC commentators (both female) sit.

MichelleCancelled · 16/04/2025 10:20

The BBC should be ashamed.

CompleteGinasaur · 16/04/2025 10:15

I'm just loving it on the broad sunny uplands of the right side of history. I'd like to buy FWS unending amounts of their favourite skullbashers in perpetuity.
Yeeessssss!

Yes!!

The right side of history. Standing on it, as it actually unfolds

littlbrowndog · 16/04/2025 10:21

Sky news is much better

SL2924 · 16/04/2025 10:21

Thank you FWS. This is amazing. Thank you for putting yourselves on the line and for taking this on on behalf of so many others.

NotBadConsidering · 16/04/2025 10:21

BBC bias showing on their live feed, determined to make it all about trans people.

maltravers · 16/04/2025 10:21

Fox Botherer should go back to tax imo. Well done FWS, you have fought the good fight and will have made a massive positive difference to the safety, dignity and opportunities for women and girls.

"Don't underestimate the influence of Mumsnet in all this. They've provied a platofrm that has continuously kept them going. They've had a LOT of inpact to end up where we find ourselves today."

Yes, glad they realise this. Amazing result. Well done FWS and SM! 🎉 🙌 🍷

HarmonicAnalysis · 16/04/2025 10:21

Amazing and fantastic news - I couldn't believe my ears! THANK YOU, FWS, THANK YOU!!! Knocked down and got up again...knocked down and got up again...nailed it for us. 💜💚

BBC are mostly banging on about trans rights.

The Guardian lead is similarly all about how transgender women will suffer and have their rights curtailed.

Lark1ane · 16/04/2025 10:21

A shout out to FWS and a big thanks to all.
Love the outside Court celebrations.
A big cheer for the woman holding the banner
No man can be a Lesbian

StanfreyPock · 16/04/2025 10:21

Amazing, can't quite believe it! Hope this will be the beginning of the end of conflation of sex and gender.

IslandsAround · 16/04/2025 10:22

GCAcademic · 16/04/2025 10:16

So now TWANW is not simply a gender critical "belief".

It's a ruling by the Supreme Court.

This ^^^

NotBadConsidering · 16/04/2025 10:22

X post, not just me seeing the BBC in that way.

Hoardasurass · 16/04/2025 10:22

I'm jumping up and down with joy right now.
I pick up 1 point that's got me pondering if this win is as much an own goal by the TRAs, the judge said that in part they have ruled in our favour because you can't ask someone if they have a grc because it's private (as pushed and promoted by TRAs) however that's not correct, you can ask if its relevant but you can't pass on that information if gained as part of your job to someone who doesn't require that information unless in crt proceedings (this is why the now outdated new guidance from the EHRC requires the production of a grc for males to access female single sex spaces). So if the TRAs hadn't been so successful in misrepresenting the rules around disclosure of a grc we might not have had this win 🤭

popehilarious · 16/04/2025 10:22

It was wonderful. And like a FWR thread.

I must've missed the judge going on about Tunnocks teacakes!

GrumpyMenopausalWombWielder · 16/04/2025 10:22

I’m especially pleased that the ‘well known’ barrister Robin Moira White will no longer be confused about the interpretation of ‘woman’ in the EA2010, as he’s made heavy weather of relying on that confusion in arguments made in various court cases. I’m sure he’ll be as relieved as we all are that we finally have interpretation of the word ‘woman’ confirmed as based on the sex based understanding the whole planet always had until lots of confused men earnestly started to question this. Cause for celebration me thinks Brew
