She is a wit and fair enough she has a problem with India Willoughby but why did she go after the asexuals? In these days of ‘everyone needs a label’ they just wanted a day of recognition. I think she was unnecessarily harsh tbh.

Did she go after ‘the asexuals’ or did she go after those who think those that don’t feel any sexual feelings deserve their own day of visibility? There’s a difference, which has been covered if you’d read the whole thread.

I'd be classed as asexual. Nobody asked me if I wanted a 'day of recognition'. I don't. Having to deal with awkward questions from well-meaning relatives about the fact that I'm a spinster is not oppression. Anyone who thinks it is seriously needs to study history.

The most bizarre forced teaming I've seen is trying to include asexual people in Pride parades. I can't think of many places I'd like to be less than a parade full of barely-clothed people celebrating their sexualities and assorted fetishes.

I'm not proud of being uninterested in sex. I'm not proud of being uninterested in football either. Neither is a big deal.
