I’ve been sorting out some books and collected together my relevant titles (see photo). I’m quite proud of my collection. Am I missing anything? I haven’t got any JKR there because the HP books are in storage with other kids’s books and she keeps writing more Strike books so I can’t get a full collection yet. I may buy the individual Strike books, I have them on Audible

I went through this thread to make a list of books I still need to get. It’s about 30!

Janice Raymond's TTE is essential reading IMHO.

Also perhaps worth reading for an account from the other side is Christine Burns - 'Trans Britain', which IIRC details the insidious workings of Press for Change.

The Transsexual Empire is available as a free download from the author's website here:

De Trans by Dr. Az Hakeem is an easy read and I think he wrote an earlier book Trans although I haven't got that one.

I think Az has partially disowned the Trans book as he was not allowed to be honest in it. He did an interview about the new book. I agree it’s an easy read

RoyalCorgi · 22/03/2025 10:29

I was going to add some titles but I think all the ones I've read have already been mentioned.

Of the ones people have suggested, if you're looking for pure entertainment value, then I really recommend Gareth Roberts's Gay Shame book. But some of the others are great reads too - the Jenny Lindsay and Abigail Shrier books, for example.

In addition to above titles, have Female Erasure, Women don't owe you pretty, Men who hate Women.
Not read them yet, so I can't comment

I don’t think ‘women don’t owe you pretty’ is worthy of inclusion here unfortunately. The author is quite into the GI woo from memory. It’s a fairly decent book if you can ignore this aspect.

Davros · 22/03/2025 11:01

I’m a bit ashamed to admit that I won’t necessarily actually read all these books Blush. I always buy them if I hear of one to at least be supportive and get them up the popularity lists

The female Eunuch- Germane Greer (not TERFy per se but proper grounded in reality second wave feminism- and she's a TERF)

You make me laugh. Greer is gloriously Terfy.

Arran2024 · 22/03/2025 12:22

I would add Hagitude by Sharon Blackie and Women Who Run With the Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estes

SerenaSemolena · 22/03/2025 12:35

This thread has reminded me to get the next volume of Under the Duvet.

I'd like to add glinner to the list. Graham Linehan Tough Crowd. He has been a very vocal ally and been punished for it .

SerenaSemolena · 22/03/2025 12:40

@Boiledbeetle will there be a kindle edition? X

I remember reading The Female Eunuch when it came out and being bemused by how mean she was about April Ashley. That woman has bona fide second sight!

AtrociousCircumstance · 22/03/2025 14:15

@XXylophonic To corroborate a PP, ‘Women Don’t Owe You Pretty’ has a significant chunk stating there can be no feminism unless it includes trans women.

A shame.

BodyKeepingScore · 22/03/2025 14:36

Gay Shame - The rise of gender ideology and the new homophobia- Gareth Roberts

Irreversible Damage- Abigail Shrier

Transpositions - Sarah Phillimore

The Abolition Of Sex - Kara Dansky

Defending Womens Spaces - Karen Ingala Smith

The End Of Gender - Debra Soh

Born in The Right Body - Isidora Sanger

Gender Critical Feminism - Holly Lawford Smith

The Reckoning - Kara Dansky

Hounded - Jenny Lindsay

Oh dear. I didn't know that as I haven't read it yet. Might be one for the bin then

Zita60 · 23/03/2025 21:55

I don't think these have been mentioned...

On the Meaning of Sex, by Kajsa Ekis Ekman, translated by Kristina Maki, published by Spinifex (I second the PP who said they have a good range of GC books)

Binary, by Zachary A Elliott, published by Paradox Press (explains why sex is binary)

Unsporting, by Linda Blade and Barbara Kay

Greer IS gloriously terfy. I meant the book isn't about the gender wars as we know it now, although it's very much about sex and the consequences of being female.

Davros · 24/03/2025 14:41

@BecksRose thank you for your kind offer, I have bought your book for kindle
