I’ve been sorting out some books and collected together my relevant titles (see photo). I’m quite proud of my collection. Am I missing anything? I haven’t got any JKR there because the HP books are in storage with other kids’s books and she keeps writing more Strike books so I can’t get a full collection yet. I may buy the individual Strike books, I have them on Audible

Lissa Evans writes fiction if you fancy something a bit lighter occasionally!

Arran2024 · 19/03/2025 20:38

Trans by Helen Joyce
Material Girls by Kathleen Stock
Invisible Women by Caroline Criado Perez

Davros · 19/03/2025 20:40

I’m sure I’ve got Trans and Material Girls. I’ll have to dig around more or buy them again

I was surprised they weren't in your pile tbh x

XXylophonic · 19/03/2025 20:48

In addition to above titles, have Female Erasure, Women don't owe you pretty, Men who hate Women.
Not read them yet, so I can't comment

CrossPurposes · 19/03/2025 20:51

Amazon says I have bought Trans and Material Girls but I don’t know where they are. I’m going to order ALL of the others and maybe buy those again. I’ll also look at Lissa Evans fiction. £££ goodbye!

Grin

Janice Raymond's TTE is essential reading IMHO.

Also perhaps worth reading for an account from the other side is Christine Burns - 'Trans Britain', which IIRC details the insidious workings of Press for Change.

Seriestwo · 19/03/2025 23:02

Invisible women, Caroline Criado Perez.

BruisedNeckMeat · 19/03/2025 23:06

Irreversible Damage by Abigail Shrier.

Hairyesterdaygonetoday · 20/03/2025 00:03

That’s a useful collection, OP, and with the suggestions added by PP this thread is a pretty good reading list. Undoubtedly many more to be added as time goes on. Can this thread be pinned to the top of the FWR board?

AstonScrapingsNameChange · 20/03/2025 00:25

The female Eunuch- Germane Greer (not TERFy per se but proper grounded in reality second wave feminism- and she's a TERF)

ErrolTheDragon · 20/03/2025 00:29

I’d add Delusions of Gender - gender critical feminism from back when it had nothing to do with transgenderism

whatswrongwivme · 20/03/2025 01:16

In "The Madness of Crowds" male "terf" Douglas Murray offers a whole chapter on the trans situation.

PinkoPonko · 20/03/2025 01:19

Spinifex Press is openly gender-critical and feminist- check out their catalogue!

AsTreesWalking · 20/03/2025 06:14

Just to add Lissa Evans' fiction is very good indeed!

FarriersGirl · 21/03/2025 09:55

De Trans by Dr. Az Hakeem is an easy read and I think he wrote an earlier book Trans although I haven't got that one.

YesYesAllGood · 21/03/2025 19:44

Inventing Transgender Children and Young People by Michele Moore and Heather Brunskell-Evans

Gender-Critical Feminism by Holly Lawford-Smith

Defending Women’s Spaces by Karen Ingala Smith

The Annals of the Terf Wars by Jane Clare Jones
