Lesbian mistaken for trans woman in woman's bathroom in Arizona

But I thought people "can always tell"?

It also led to the irony the only males in the bathroom were two male police officers who were notified by a store employee who mistakenly thought a male had entered the woman's toilets.

"In an alarming incident at a Tucson, Arizona Walmart, 19-year-old Kalaya Morton*, a Black cisgender lesbian, was confronted by two male sheriff’s deputies while using the women’s restroom, sparking outrage and a demand for accountability.
Morton, who identifies as masculine-presenting or a “stud,” recounted the humiliating encounter that occurred when a store employee erroneously assumed she was a transgender woman. The saga began innocuously enough: Morton had entered the restroom with her ex-girlfriend, who was kindly handing her a tampon— an act of friendship that, unfortunately, soon spiraled into something far more troubling. In an exclusive interview with The Advocate, Morton detailed her shock when the two deputies barged in, shining flashlights into the restroom stall.

“You have to get out of here. You have to come out. We need to talk to you.” Imagine trying to pee in peace, only to have the police storm in like it’s an episode of Cops: Restroom Edition.
“I’m still using the restroom. I’m sitting down, I’m peeing. What is the issue?,” Morton incredulously told the deputies as she sat there.
Now, while most people hope for a streamlined bathroom experience, Morton was treated more like a suspect than a bathroom user. The deputies apparently needed to crack the case of “Who Looks Like a Man in the Ladies’ Room,” a particularly absurd mystery, if you ask us."

Unfortunately some people like to encourage women to talk about their experiences of sexual assault. I know that's a possibility that makes me a bit wary about talking about those experiences.

But at this point, thats too bad. Shame must change sides. That happened to me and I would like to minimise the chances of it happening to other women and girls.

Women should not be shamed for the weird sexual proclivities of abusers.

Some people do like to witness women’s recounting of their pain. It is a paraphilia and a power play.

The comparison is on the fact that the taxi porn is obviously not real and no one assumes it's real. So why are we assuming the toilet trans porn is not a set and in a real woman's toilet?

Most porn is a fake scenario/a set.

Facts not in evidence.

All recorded prostitution is a "fake scenario"

But "most" porn......

Try google the real police officers who have been sacked for misuse of police cars etc.

Or the NSPCC and the male employee who documented that he frequently engaged in sex acts at work.

A whole lot of child sex abuse imagery is real child sex abuse imagery
Countries would not be introducing laws to charge individuals with illegally obtaining /misusing sexual imagery if such illegal acts were not happening.

Sorry I've not replied. Busy getting ready/doing nursery run. Thanks for the replies. I'll look this evening! I know you think I'm winding you up but I am genuinely interested. I've not given this issue a lot of thought tbh but clearly some of you have either had negative personal experiences or feel strongly for other reasons. A reminder that just because someone asks a question doesn't mean I'm disagreeing, but I am challenging you for more info so I can see your point of view. You guys don't seem to like people asking questions!!

You're not going to get someone on side if you attack them for asking questions.

lifeturnsonadime · 06/03/2025 08:12

Those prison stats are awful Helleofabore for such a tiny minority of males that we should offer up to single sex spaces proportionately there's an awful lot of rapists and pedophiles.

@Bunny44 I would also be very interested to know how many women and children need to be raped or harmed by males who identify as trans for you to consider keeping women and girls safe a priority?

It shouldn't be a hard for you to answer, what collateral damage is acceptable to you?

lifeturnsonadime · 06/03/2025 08:14

You guys don't seem to like people asking questions!!

@Bunny44 on the contrary ask away but please will you answer Helleofabore's questions (the one I've repeated in the post above this one).

Ta very much.

ah so many bingo stages on this thread! Now we’re at the “I know a nice TW who would never lie” stage (I may have missed the “if you only knew some TW people” one)

oddly enough we don’t base laws on people’s nice friends

We have the "if you only knew some":

What I meant is I use public loos where you actually see trans women in them, which is the specific subject discussed here. I doubt that happens everywhere frequently. As I mentioned I have friends of friends who are trans. My hairdresser is a trans woman etc.

UrsulasHerbBag · 06/03/2025 08:20

Who was the guy (cursedE?) who used to write about pissing on the women’s loo seats so he could enjoy the thought of women sitting in his piss? Oh and the fad for taking swords into the women’s and posting with their women’s dicks in one hand and a sword in the other? That used to come up regularly on my twitter feed. Oh and the videos of them in the cubicle recording actual women in tge loo chortling over the fact that the women didn’t know and trans woman was in the next cubicle.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 06/03/2025 08:24

because a minority of peverts

The word is "pervert". Not "pevert". I assume not a typo because you've made the same error at least three times.

Him and others.

Absolutely.

No. We like people who ask questions. We don’t like to have posted evidence, and for it to be not even bothered to be looked at because it was either too hard to go back a couple of pages or because you personally cannot read something from a source you personally don’t credit as accurate and then use that information to find the original source.

And why should we like posters who dismiss evidence or dismiss other people’s experiences because they don’t fit with that poster’s positive experience? Or who cannot seem to understand that their analogies are flawed and therefore irrelevant?

By all means, ask questions. But if you want answers don’t dismiss the answers you don’t like using false comparisons or flawed logic. If you think an answer is inaccurate or is flawed, then engage in why with details and thoughtful replies.

Speaking of numbers. How many additional female people in the UK do you consider acceptable to be harmed before you, personally, support all male people being excluded from female single sex provisions in the UK?

1 more female person (including children) being sexually abused, attacked or distressed? 5 more? 25?

How many female people are acceptable to be harmed by allowing male people to use single sex spaces because that male person has a philosophical belief that they are female?

We have had a person state 35. And one who stated that over 100 each year would be acceptable in their personal opinion.

You keep asking for numbers. What numbers would you consider to be enough for you to change your position.

Mine, by the way, is zero. What is your number?

Here you are @Bunny44 .

No one needs to go looking for it. It turns up on twitter all the time. These men love posting this stuff on feminist threads. It's all very "We'll do what we want and you can't stop us".
The whole point is that it's about exposing themselves to unwilling women.

Umm no, it doesn't 😂😂😂😂 The fact that you and PP are regularly seeing trans porn says a lot about you and your algorithm and what you interact with. The algorithm is seeing how much you're watching them and sending you more. If you don't wanna see trans porn or porn full stop - stop watching it. Use whatever argument you want and try to justify it that people are "sending it on feminist threads" you clearly know nothing about the internet and are really putting yourself as some kind of trans fetishist. If you regularly seen porn in general, especially trans porn, in your "feminist threads" it's cos you're in an algorithm bubble with others you like to watch trans porn 👍🏻

It's just creepy men going into the women's toilets and filming themselves and others, not "trans porn". See the Mr Menno video which has just been posted.

Stefanodad · 05/03/2025 21:44

The position of not letting trans women into toilets feels very unkind to me.

Whether or not you believe in the idea of transition. The notion that women can’t accept a minuscule risk so that trans women presenting as such can avoid a relatively much more probable one seems hard-nosed to the point of mean to me.

Heaven forbid women should not "be kind"
The risk you talk about is from men to other men (transwomen), how is this a problem for women to solve exactly?

This post misses the point that it was male people posting replies in twitter that resulted in so many of us seeing unwanted porn.

So, are you saying that we should have just accepted a twitter reply on face value and not looked for more information?

It is you who seem to not know how the internet works. Sure, women ended up seeing unwanted porn, because those male people who don’t have any boundaries or who wanted to be seen engaged with their tweets. The fact that those male people wanted that and engaged to create that outcome is not the fault of the women you are blaming here.

So women who complain about abuse, and are subsequently sent pornographic images or videos are 'asking for it' by raising the subject. Is that the logic.

UrsulasHerbBag · 06/03/2025 09:01

i once (foolishly, I know) commented on a JKR post on twitter to say something innocuous about the bunny in the Christmas pig and how much my son had enjoyed it… only to be tagged with plenty of trans porn. I reported everything and blocked. In the end I just deleted my account. I have had some quite respectful interactions with trans people and I often felt quite sorry that THEIR voices were drowned out by the angry young men forcing their pornography and threats on women.

Men deliberately dropping unwanted dick pics into online feminist discussions is never women 'asking for it'. Nice try but no.

eatfigs · 06/03/2025 09:04

Yes and the ones who bragged about stealing used pads out of the sanitary bins, as another example of male depravity.

To those who haven't looked deeply into the trans phenomenon, it is typically a surprise to find out that much of it (but not all of it) is driven by the extremes of male sexual desire.

eatfigs · 06/03/2025 09:06

Autogynephilia being the most directly related to this phenomenon.

It is abuser friendly logic, for sure.

Never the responsibility of the male person with no boundaries and a fetish for exhibitionism.

Or its a TRA connection.

I was not on old twitter but just with google I could read threads and click through links to see the posters connections.

If the TRA was not selling or had a closed second profile which was selling prostitution product the majority of the TRA ended up with such links. It was usual that I could select any TRA and with 3 or 4 degrees of sepration there would be accounts engaged in prostitution.

That was not the result with people who wanted single sex spaces.
