Very dangerous. What happens is women and children either get forced into them or someone lets themselves in (the new enclosed ones have a safety mechanism to let the door open outwards from the outside as it was realised bodies on the floor stop entry). Don’t expect private cubicles in public areas to be safe - it happens in nightclubs, train carriages, busy stations, shopping centres etc.

Also if you collapse you have less chance of surviving. Lots of people are found in cubicles as that’s where you go when you’re ill.

Hygiene and ventilation goes down too so you’re more likely to be ill from past occupants.

If you are male, and are healthy, that’s the least bad demographic for private cubicles.

I was coming here to say exactly this.

Previously on this board, someone posted a link to an actual study on the safety of toilets which showed that enclosed toilets were far less safe, for a variety of reasons (sexual assault, medical emergencies, fire, evacuation etc).

I mentioned this on a thread on FB and was shouted down/laughed at by pretty much everyone. I think the group was mainly American but the safety aspect doesn't really change 🤷‍♀️

I mean it's mindblowing really - out of all the suggestions that are bandied around, not once is the suggestion EVER to address aggression in men. It's always, absolutely fucking always, how far over women have to budge to make space for male bodied individuals. The problem here is that gender non-conforming men don't feel safe using male toilets - fix that problem and leave us the fuck alone.

Absolutely every new build should be required to have single sex toilets (with baby changing facilities too), mixed sex toilets and accessible toilets (either split up or enough provided for both disabled and parent and child). Oh, and there should be more cubicles in the women’s than the men’s. I understand it’s harder in older buildings in which case mixed sex might be the only option but I actually think new businesses should have this assessed by an inspector so they don’t try and get away with one toilet when they can in fact fit in more. This really doesn’t have to be such a contentious issue.

I posted this on another thread but this was my experience of de- sexed toilets in a pub in Bristol this weekend.

Ridiculous. I was in a pub in Bristol at the weekend which didn't have women's toilets.
Instead the signage was either
'For people who use cubicles' and the alternative was 'For people who use Urinals'
I went in the cubicle option to find there was piss all over the floor and a queue for 2 cubicles. A bloke (not identifying as trans) came out of the first one as breezy as you like, the second cubical contained two blokes having a giggle. They then came out and then said that one of them needed the other to hold their cock - both probably straight but rather pissed blokes.
I, very gently, asked why the girls queueing with me thought this was OK, while the blokes were in there, they said they had no idea why the pub had done this because there was a cubical in the urinals toilet too! I just said that none of this 'progressive' stuff benefits female people. No mention of trans. Hopefully some of the young people took the point. I can't really blame the lads for behaving like this. They weren't threatening they were just pissed and young and followed the signs. Hopefully they'll think more about this in the future.
As for the Labour Party, they've never given a shit about women and this is not progress and they know it.

The problem with imposing full cubical toilets runs much deeper than the trans issue, although that really is an issue, they are too expensive to build and implement. This will result in less public toilets being available and where they do exist they will be harder for female people to access.

It's fucking backwards.

llamas are also recomended as a subistute for big Sheep Shepherd breeds as they have a "fuck around and find out" attiude towards wolves and dogs. 😬

Well, my suggestion is setting up an event where - oh what fun, let's have a llama instead of a cow! Secretly, you will have had the llama in the field before the event, and will have noted where it pooped, and which square that was.

Next day, it's Cow Llama Poop Bingo, and you bet all your money on that square. Result?
