Was just coming back to say that.

Impossible to read.

But it seems there's been a coup.

Someone small group has taken over, they had sought professional advice or something about how to proceed, and will be letting know those who signed up what exciting things lie ahead for them.

Whereas what would be interesting it to hear back from each of the local groups what they felt was positive about self organising, what their priorities would be.

Is there some hidden network of women when the moment a "feminist" groups gets lots of popular interest they swoop in and take it over?

So sad.

Okay, having gone to a lot of trouble to try and do clearer screen shots they have all been blocked.

I think this is to do with the fact that totally inappropriate images were posted on MN a short while ago, and the paid staff wont be around until monday. And the night / weekend voluteers aren't able to take decisions or something.

I've seen the line up and it looks class.😊 I support many of those speaking. Some I'm neutral on. Some I don't know. Some I disagree with.

It would be a shame if women and feminists didn't have this opportunity because it isn't perfect enough.

Just so strange that all these news groups instantly become a battle ground of control.

With it happening across various parts of the country seems really strange women aren't trusted enough to organise their own march.

Funnily enough, all of these so-called women's groups are inclusive of men and militantly so

I can't see anything in the screenshots about a line up or speaking. What event are you talking about?

The screenshots seem to be a load of (inaccessibly presented) waffle about inclusivity and doing better - with no indication of what they actually mean or intend to do. But I take it inclusive means including men.

So they are repeating the main problem, ie the inclusion of men who identify as women. New ‘leaders’, same bullshit.

@TooBigForMyBoots the issue for me is by including men who identify as women does not work with the reality that many women and girls face. Trans issues tend to take centre stage with trans flags visible - this was evident in the last March. Men who identify as women want to be heard, its part of their validation. This then overshadows -

The rape and burning of women in the Congo
Stoning beheading of women all over the world simple for being female
Women being eliminated from public life in Afghanistan
Female children being groomed and raped on our on soil
Disabled women experiencing DV not being able to leave because there's no appropriate refuges for them

There's so much more, I'm sure you get my drift. All of this happens because they are women. It is crucially different and without having this at the centre of what the March is about will always dilute the message.

There was also the fact that by adding in the ‘all’ women approach made the message unclear.

The message should be clear.

This is about violence against women and girls - pure and simple.

The underpinning of all of this is an academic one - that of intersectionality. Transposing this into March makes it difficult for the central message to be heard. Of course trabs people experience violence, I am not refuting this, but it is crucially different deserving its own campaigns and marches. By piggy backing of Womens causes si ply does not work. Just look at whats happening in law in the UK, women are fighting back because of the encroachment and are winning. There is a simple reason for this. Men (including those who identify as women) and women are fundamentally different and experience a very different world because of this.

They include any men, irrespective as how they identify.

What is interesting (depressing) is they seem to think they are doing something brand new and positive.

But in fact all they are doing is ignoring exisitng feminist activism, and seem to think that somehow out of banal MSM reporting will organise women to stand up for women. And these women are welcome to bring husbands, brothers, sons, whoever who are supportive.

So it comes back to the fact that the level of knowledge or sharing of information about women's groups / activists that have developed over years, decades are just unknown.

It shows how effectively the patriarchy keeps women divided from each other.

All this group does is show how superficial and unaware many women (well everybody) are that feminist activism and analysis has a history.

And women only is born out of lived experience.

Let them re-invent the wheel.

But in the end it is the old divide and rule.

Rather than worry what they might be up to we need to focus of supporting groups who are being effective, and supporting groups like LWS (even if you dont like all she says) because she is actively giving women a voice, and too often men (and the police) are intimidating them.
