having read on another thread that it only costs £5 to apply for a GRC, how many MNers will join me in applying to ‘become’ a man? one’s legal status as a mother will not change, and I’m sure we’ll all see a 20% uplift in our wages… We might get turned down if the panel gets an inkling we might be insincere, but, for the sake of a fiver, we could swamp the application process… #legalfallacy

If pointing out the flaws in a system is nasty, what do you have to say about directly reporting these flaws to the body that oversees the system and causing checks notes 'extra difficulties and delays'

Why is it nasty Ava? The vast majority of women on here would appear to understand that:
a) it is not possible to change sex;
b) a diagnosis of gender dysphoria relies on sexist stereotypes, and, as a result:
c) people should not be able to obtain a piece of paper from the Government stating that for all purposes (apart from from inheriting a feudal title or something) they are effectively members of the opposite sex.

When you look at the matter in the cold light of day it is ridiculous. And ridiculous things attract ridicule.

Furthermore, the only person on this thread who is pushing back has provided incoherent and contradictory arguments. Rather than just calling the thread nasty, please, please advance arguments in favour of the GRA and GRCs. I have been in the gender wars for 11 years but I am STILL open to hearing arguments that mean I can forget all about it and get on with my life. Until then I will keep fighting for the sex based rights of women. Over to you.

Incidentally I think it's a bit nasty to accuse me of lying when I tried to engage with you. I don't appreciate being told I'm lying - if you have a problem with my posts, take it up with MN. You cannot speak to the contents of another person's mind, therefore you have no idea what I might have meant beyond what I actually wrote.

I'm still waiting for you to explain how the concept and process of the GRC isn't total illogical nonsense...

Mine mocks pockets, if I need to be a legal man to keep my giant (very very useful) pockets, so be it.

I would have thought that such an obvious concept would be easy to understand for an all knowing gender critical woman who knows The Truth would see that!

At the moment the spousal exit clause would kick in so that you can end the marriage before the certificate can be granted, but of course TRAs want to abolish that.
