Wishing everyone all good things, and on standby for the enormous burp due from BoiledBeetleXmas Smile
Edited due to too many Christmas cocktails. Hic

I've had:
Coffee and bagel.
Roast dinner
Brookie and Cream
Some curry crisps.

I'm just partaking of my nightly HRT tablet and painkiller.

I had to shed the clothes, there wasn't enough elastic to cope!

Good to see the elasticated waist Boiled! The sign of a woman who always thinks ahead!

A belated Happy Christmas! Hope everyone had a lovely day, with an equally lovely tomorrow ahead full of rest, relaxation - and leftovers aplenty.

You had the British Geological Survey Seismology Team really worried there for a while, BoilyGrin

Never, in the field of human consumption, has so much been eaten by so few.

I may have eaten my own body weight today but I really enjoyed it and it was washed down with plenty of alcohol.

I particularly enjoyed withdrawing to the Bluestocking with the female members of my family for a couple of hours from Midday and leaving the menfolk to do all the veg preparation.

I have to be honest, my only contribution to Christmas dinner was to eat it.

Boiledbeetle · 25/12/2024 22:46

Sounds like a good day @JanesLittleGirl

And I've just realised after reading @JanesLittleGirl post that I managed to get through the entire day without eating a single vegetable!

😏

I was a bit surprised to see green stuff in one of your earlier pictures! 🤣

I roasted the turkey and made the gravy. Feckin' nailed it!

Been round at family, just back in time for a quick one at the Bluestocking.

Merry Christmas wims!

OP posts:
Boiledbeetle · 25/12/2024 23:48

Merry Christmas all, I'm taking my full stomach to bed. The dishes can wait until tomorrow!

Maybe I should take a few chocolates up with me in case I get peckish in five minutes!

The food has worn off. I need breakfast.

DeanElderberry · 26/12/2024 09:26

Poached egg and little rashers and 'sausages' and mushrooms and tomato and poached egg and toast and stewed apple and toast and marmalade and a glass of water and a pot of tea to be consumed a mug at a time.

Much better now.

Commas? At this hour of the morning?

AlisonDonut · 26/12/2024 09:35

I found out why the cat is scared of the slippers.

Here they are in daylight.

At night they seem to turn a luminous very bright pink.

I reckon it's the four - four! - scary eyes on each slipper that are spooking the cat😱

DeanElderberry · 26/12/2024 09:43

Gorgeous slippers though, grow up cat, don't be a silly scaredypuss.

ErrolTheDragon · 26/12/2024 10:02

My late MiL had a pair of fluffy red slippers which she'd had to put away for years because their dachshund would attack them. Can't say I blamed him!

No one needs commas for breakfast.

I often wondered what you are Dean of, Deano, and now I know: you are Dean of Cats - any cat showing behavioural issues is summoned to your office and given a good talking to. Like 'Grow up cat, don't be a silly scaredypuss'.
Takes no nonsense, the Dean. Firm, but fair. They'll thank you for it later in all of their nine lives...Grin

DeanElderberry · 26/12/2024 11:37

If I were to set the elderberries aside, you would see that I am really Dean Volecape, and if you solve the very easy anagram you will see that my power is benign. Mostly.

I'm firm (but fair) (also mostly) with other life forms too.

For all the good it does me. Rosy has been steadily striping things off the Christmas tree for days.
