I've had an idea though. What if we soak and freeze the tribbles, then they'll make ice packs. Might even kill the little sods.

That's a genius idea! Two problems solved!

The Gerbils can't cope with the multitude of Tunnocks! We had better get munching!

Cured their hangovers though!

How can I get notifications for all comments on threads that I want to be notified about, for example the Bluestocking, without getting notifications for threads where I have just made a comment and then don't really care about general comments but do care about OP comments? If I don't care about the thread I unwatch it but I'm inundated with notifications.

Is it possible to be notified for some threads and not others? I have notifications for the OP updates.

Send them out for a walk up Peak Woo, Cake, that'll sober them up!

I've sent a bunch of them out to walk the pygmy hogs. Peak Woo seems to be dormant at the moment and it's covered in fresh snow. Some of the pigs are pulling sledges that I've piled with the gerbils that are really out of it. I'm hoping the fresh air will bring them round.

The coffee and alka seltzer will be waiting for them when they get back.

As soon as the pigs are out of nose shot, I'll make some bacon butties.

You know at school when the teacher announces that she's going to ask questions on the chapter she set as homework, and you try to make yourself as small as possible in the hopes she'll ask someone else?

Well, that's me MyrtleSingingCarols! Sorry, can't help you there😟
I don't have any notifications set, and this and Craicnet are the only bits of MN I read - unless a particularly interesting AIBU catches my eye.

So I'm hoping some of the clever girls in the class will know the answer😄

ErrolTheDragon · 23/12/2024 15:16

I don't know if it's possible. I briefly scan email notifications and ignore most of them. Sometimes I delete without reading.nCBA to find out what type of 'reaction' I may have garnered - I can't see the emojis on the app. Nor can I add 'reactions'

Magpiecomplex · 23/12/2024 16:00

Are you using the website, @MyrtleSingingCarols? If so, I think it might be possible but I will need to wake up some more brain cells first. If you're using the app I'm afraid I can't help.

I'm using the website. The app is not the easiest way to use MN.

So these are the different notifications settings. Looking closely, I'm not sure it is possible. You could maybe leave the top option off and rely on the fact that Bluestocking OPs usually contribute quite often?

I think that's the problem. I'll just have to keep logging on and checking Blue Stocking 💙

Perhaps they could be bioengineering with Tunnocks? We'd have self-perpetuating supplies. Android?

I'm working on it.

I've been wondering about notifications, too. That was helpful.

lcakethereforeIam · 23/12/2024 22:25

I'm getting a bit worried. It's dark out, has been for hours, the pigs and the gerbils haven't come back yet and it's just started to snow again.

OP posts:
JanesLittleGirl · 23/12/2024 22:31

No need to worry my lovely. It will all work itself out. This is the Bluestocking after all.

Some of the gerbils are still up there and are currently causing fire hazards! Can someone go round up the stragglers and maybe take a fire extinguisher

Smiling piggies enjoying the snow..little gerbils warming their tiny paws at the fire.. it doesn't get more adorable than thatSmile

Boiledbeetle · 23/12/2024 23:00

I see one of the micro pigs and some lab creations are still up the mountain as well! Nice to see they've done the Christmas decorations whilst they were up there

Bugger, I went looking for them at the bothy. I think I'm snowed in. Fortunately I took a tribble. If I ration it, I'll still have thousands left by the new year.

You've already got more than one!!!

lcakethereforeIam · 23/12/2024 23:35

I know! I've been throwing them on the fire, thatched the roof with them, put them down and used them as carpet, even inflated one. It didn't work as a bagpipe but was okay as a bath pillow. That's ignoring the ones I skinned and used as a pie filling.

Currently passing the time writing 1001 uses for a dead tribble.
