Pink, it’s been very entertaining, but your failure to stay on topic, insistence focusing on the person not the process (I really don’t care why Mace doing it, or whether she’s a lovely person or not) and your willingness to state blatant untruths have, strangely failed to convince me
In fact, I now think it’s a really good bill, not only in response to McBride, but also to members of the public who like to declare their intention to invade women’s spaces. I hope this provides the lead for lots of people to take the same approach with other public buildings. Who knows, maybe we’ll be able to get away from the situation where:
-a woman raped in hospital can be gaslit because “there are no men on women’s wards”,
-where women trying to heal from rape trauma can be used as resources by men (because….?)
-and where women like the female volleyball players at St Jose are effectively told their scholarship depends on their willingness to lie about the sex of their team mate, turn a blind eye when he injures other women, and get their kit off in the women’s locker room
You’re not defending women’s rights - but you know that right?!
