Jordan Gray's New Sitcom

They who tickled the ivories with they's penis is back with a new sitcom about a trans supermarket worker. Sounds delightful.

Jordan gets annoyed with his female colleagues because they changed the toilets to gender neutral and he doesn't want to use the same toilets as MEN. Uses delightful gendered insults such as "twatflaps" and urinates on a female co-worker's car as revenge, talking about splash-back on his 'tits'.

Here's a clip if you cam stomach it:

Sounds like great PR for the GC point of view, let 'em speak! 😁

CrossPurposes · 18/11/2024 10:32

Bloody hell.

Rightsraptor · 18/11/2024 10:38

I thought sit com was dead. This could be the final nail in its coffin.

NoBinturongsHereMate · 18/11/2024 10:39

Authentic representation.

That's marvellous - I hope it has huge viewing figures and is reviewed by all the papers. I may even buy a copy of the Guardian specially.

Mittens67 · 18/11/2024 10:40

Which channel will this delusional drivel be shown on? Guessing channel 4

ByMerryKoala · 18/11/2024 10:41

Is that a clip of one of the 2020 shorts the post mentions or of the upcoming itv programme?

Rightsraptor · 18/11/2024 10:43

ITV, apparently.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 18/11/2024 10:44

It's the original shorts. I don't think any of the new programme has been released. It remains to be seen if that bit will be faithfully reproduced. It wouldn't surprise if it was though.

Ingenieur · 18/11/2024 10:46

Sorry about a link to The Sun, but their description sounds like it could peak a few people along the way

The problem is, Liv soon discovers she is completely unsackable — and sets about turning the store into her own personal playground, un-leashing chaos upon her co-workers.

Thanks. There's been such a big change in public opinion since then that I wonder if the tone has been modified or if they're sat on a tinderbox.

SabrinaThwaite · 18/11/2024 11:10

I heard Gray in a R4 comedy programme a couple of weeks ago - I think it might have been Exposure?

Exposure stars Jordan as Grace, an attention-starved reality star desperately trying to remain relevant after the world has moved on.

There was a snarky comment about MN which was about the only entertaining thing in the entire programme.

The great thing about radio is that you can tell who is a bloke just from their voice.

RoyalCorgi · 18/11/2024 11:13

From the Sun article:

"The problem is, Liv soon discovers she is completely unsackable — and sets about turning the store into her own personal playground, un-leashing chaos upon her co-workers."

That does sound to me as if there's an element of self-mockery in there.

Ranting angry misogynistic bile = not funny. It’s very uncomfortable and embarrassing to watch.

Don’t you hate it when you get splashback on your tits? said no woman, ever.

Thank you ITV - this will prove to be peaktastic.

lonelywater · 18/11/2024 11:25

this is bloody brilliant! Has to have been commissioned by a Terf. If it's as bad as I think it will be then we can add it to the canon of "what the fuck were they thinking of?" sitcoms. Older posters may recall such classics of the genre as "curry and chips" "the melting pot" and "heil honey, I'm home". if you are not familiar then google is your friend-prepare to be, er, amazed.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 18/11/2024 11:28

ITV have happily platformed uber-misogynistic comedy before. Look at Dapper Laughs.

In September 2014, his TV show, entitled Dapper Laughs: On the Pulll^, began on ITV22^, where he parodied a dating expert[4][5]
O'Reilly was heavily criticised in November 2014 when, soon after accusations that his show was degrading to women,[6] he joked that a female audience member was "gagging for a rape" at one of his live shows.[7] An online petitionn^ eventually gained 68,210 signatures with the hashtag #CancelDapper asked ITV to end the series.[8] On 10 November, ITV announced they were not renewing the series for a second season as a result.[9] A forthcoming Dapper Laughs tour was also cancelled.[8]

Jordan played my local theatre a few months ago.

Jordan needed a seat-filling service because so few full price tickets were sold. Even then, effectively free tickets were still available a couple of days before the gig.

Nick Frost is a draw. Jordan maybe not so much.

yourhairiswinterfire · 18/11/2024 12:26

and urinates on a female co-worker's car as revenge

Can't think of a better way to sum up the TRA movement than that. Males cocking their legs and pissing all over women's stuff, asserting their dominance and marking anything to do with women as their territory.

Sortumn · 18/11/2024 13:08

Why is ITV putting out such horrible transphobic drivel. Surely a real trans woman wouldn't behave just like.......... the very worst of men !

MrsOvertonsWindow · 18/11/2024 13:24

Hmm. Whenever confronted by a flasher it's useful to flag up that deliberately exposing your penis is an act of sexual violence. Rape Crisis England have some useful guidance.
The fact that men repeatedly get away with this act demonstrates how little our institutions like the police really care about VAWG:

https://rapecrisis.org.uk/get-informed/types-of-sexual-violence/what-is-indecent-exposure-or-flashing/

What is indecent exposure or flashing?

Indecent exposure or flashing is when someone shows their genitals in order to scare or upset another person. It is a form of sexual violence.

quite. I was somewhat surprised when the delightful Mr. Gray played the piano with his knob on telly (who the hell thought that sentence could have been written even 5 years ago?) that instead of being up on a charge of indecent exposure he got rave reviews? WTF?

Sounds like the latest foray in Operation Let Them Speak.

ITV, bringing peaking to the nation!

StrongFemaleCharacter · 18/11/2024 14:46

Who is this aimed at though? Who is their target audience? It does seem to be a piss take out of the trans-community doesn't it?

FranticFrankie · 18/11/2024 17:03

Mary Whitehouse will be spinning in her grave I tell you - spinning
Maybe itv will get lots of complaints?
Jordan Grey sounds like an unpleasant misogynist
(though I doubt that there’s a pleasant one)

OuterSpaceCadet · 18/11/2024 18:03

Agree about the flashing being a red flag.

But the sitcom sounds like it might actually be a bit funny. "Unsackable" reminds me a little of Family Guy's brilliant take on trans:

It sounds as if JG is well aware they are male, the humour seems to hinge on it. It's very different from TV where ones supposed to believe a transwoman is actually a female character or from productions that posthumously trans historical characters for being too non conforming.

As JG is being so honest, it would be insane, surely, if JG were a boundary trampling type who used women's spaces and took women's platforms....(I haven't googled so don't know!) Oh I guess the flashing is a boundary already crossed.

Hmm. It's a shame really. I don't think trans ideology (uptight, authoritarian, fond of euphemisms and labels) and humour really go together. Certainly where they intersect one is left with the impression that the person or show would be a whole lot funnier if they dropped trans ideology and just accepted that humans can be gay &/ gender non conforming and that's ok.
