I’ve been told off on TikTok for defending women’s rights to HRT

Apparently women like us are the cause of other people being denied “life saving” HRT. When I queried what life threatening illness required HRT I was told it was “gender affirming care”. And that such people should take priority (due to possible depression and suicide) over 50yo women going through a perfectly natural stage of their life.

i could scream. And the sad thing is I’m too scared to answer back in case of a pile on, internet stalking, doxxing, etc.

Sympathies OP. The same drugs are an essential part of most IVF protocols too, and progesterone is used widely for pregnant women with a history of miscarriages to prevent more losses. Being told there’s a shortage because of selfish men in those circumstances is extremely distressing

That’s awful, i didn’t know that. Yes bad enough that women who need it might struggle with supplies but then to be blamed for men not being able to get a totally unnecessary drug for them is infuriating.

I think I've seen that TikTok. All about how HRT (which TW take in much larger amounts btw) is saving lives. I read through the comments and moved on as wasn't in the mood. But will go back on to see if anyone needs backing up!

They conveniently ignored the fact that menopausal women (45-54) have the highest suicide rate in women, meaning that ultimately HRT in menopause is life saving.

Remember, TRA is a men's rights movement.

Yes correlation does not equal causation as they say. Their increased mortality rate is likely to be a symptom of their psychiatric/mental health issues the same as their gender dysphoria is a symptom of their psychiatric/mental health issues.
