Anyway look. I know you are a big fan of hers, so let's agree to disagree and move on.

i admire KJK for giving women a platform that has attracted the attention of the global media. I’m not a fan of hers at all outwith that.

very interested though in how she’d know who you are Cassie if you were to turn up to an event? The tras always turn up to her events , generally to cause trouble, silence women or to throw soup.

And claiming that Mumsnet provides anywhere near the equivalent is ridiculous.

Incorrect. Pesutto was told by Southwick that he had a recording back in Dec 2023/Jan 2024. Pesutto didn’t ask to hear it, for a copy of it or even why Southwick had recorded the meeting. Seems unlikely to me. Anyway, he supposedly forgot about it until a few weeks ago reading documents to prepare for the court case. He saw that Deeming had recorded a meeting and that reminded him that Southwick had a recording. He checked that Southwick still had it and informed his lawyers. His lawyers obtained it that same day. I think they decided it was about 2.5 weeks ago.

Slippery as an eel, I’d imagine.

So the bottom line is that 1,548 angels can dance on the point of a needle.

Datun · 24/09/2024 22:11

I somehow really doubt I'd be welcome at a KJK event.

lol.

Helleofabore · 24/09/2024 22:39

Not sure how many times Kellie-Jay Keen has to repeat that any female person who wishes to speak, as long as it is speaking and not stealing a microphone or merely chanting mantras, is welcome to speak at the Let Women Speak events. What ever their view.

And I think that it is pretty clear from the number of guilt by association claims arising from people that women should never have allowed into the crowd to listen to them speak, that no one is there checking who is simply standing or sitting in the crowd listening respectfully. And that any respectful attendee is therefore 'welcome' regardless of a person's beliefs.

Considering that Jean Hatchet managed to come and speak on the weekend in view of her past relationship with Kellie-Jay, I think that shows that yes, even people who have major issues with things that KJK says and does can come and speak.

Hmm. Given some of the things she tweets at other GC feminists she's beefing with on Twitter, and the way she spoke to the receptionist and the practice manager at the doctors surgery, I'll give it a miss thanks. I don't need a microphone to talk about this stuff in any case.

CassieMaddox · 24/09/2024 23:02

Jean Hatchet and her were friends before, they've obviously now buried the hatchet (badoom-tish!) of their fall out.

how she’d know who you are

This is an excellent question.

And why would any organiser or steward think that that poster would not be welcome at the event?

Unless people cannot be respectful when there, why are someone’s beliefs a pre-requisite to attending? There is no test issued for entrance. And those present don’t have to agree with the speakers at all. There is usually a range of topics discussed.

You are getting very good at sly insinuations, but as usual off the mark. She wouldn't have a clue who I am in real life, I've never seen her.

Fine

But that is not what you said. You declared that you would probably not be welcome.

CassieMaddox · 24/09/2024 23:09

*And claiming that Mumsnet provides anywhere near the equivalent is ridiculous".

Just wow. Where do you think women started sharing these ideas and arranging meet ups? How do you think KJK got into this in the first place? Why is her other name "posie parker"? Honestly 😂

lifeturnsonadime · 24/09/2024 23:10

lol at ‘sly insinuation ‘ for wondering how she would know who you were when you said you don’t think you’d be welcome at an event! 🤣

A reasonable response might be ‘methinks the lady doth protest too much!’ 🤣

A literal public microphone in a public place is not the same as a fairly hidden area of the internet. Especially with the media coverage that comes with it.

I don’t know about how she got the name posie Parker or her involvement with mums net as I’m a relatively newcomer to this forum. But if mums net provided her with the opportunity that’s great 👍

Nah. I know it's very hard for you to give up on incorrect ideas you are deeply wedded to, but I'm not a TRA, I'm a GC feminist. Mumsnet is the only place I post and I've posted here prolifically for around 13 years. I "know" KJK because we overlapped on the board.

I also know that many of you guys know this - you obviously weren't on the thread where I proved it after one too many sly digs but Eresh and Helle were and know who I an.

If you have an issue or think I'm trolling, take it up with MNHQ but this sly commentary needs to stop.

😂😂😂
Mumsnet is one of the highest traffic sites in the UK and FWR is the highest traffic board (or at least it was).

I've been outed on here more than once. And recognised people myself more than once. "Hidden corner of the internet" 😂

Is it? I thought it was the naughty corner where the TRAs wanted nasty women’s opinions hidden. Either way still not the same as a microphone / loud speaker where people can actually speak and be heard. 🙄

Lady, mmm.

lifeturnsonadime · 24/09/2024 23:27

Gosh you really can’t handle me being here you?’

Why such self importance? I don’t care. It’s an internet forum . You’ve got every right to be here. 🙄

As for the rest of your post. I disagree. You hate KJK , you don’t hide the fact and imo that completely clouds your judgement of the value of LWS to women.

lifeturnsonadime · 24/09/2024 23:29

And in saying that I’m not disparaging the value of the women of FWR I’m saying both are valuable.

i do believe that LWS has a wider audience because of the public nature and the media attention.

lifeturnsonadime · 24/09/2024 23:31

And the fact that it lets ordinary women speak, take the microphone and have a voice.

You hate KJK who is GC, and you clearly don’t like Moira Deeming. How are you on JKR?

Funny how there is not a single post of yours praiseworthy of those three women. Three women who were willing to put themselves out there in defence of women’s rights.

Come off it Cassie. You lobbied mumsnet to separate the feminism threads because you didn't want to be bothered with all the 'anti trans' stuff.

'If you think KJKs rallies have been more influential to the progress we've made on sex based rights than mumsnet, then you are deluded.'

🤣
