Bit of a tangent, but more evidence of Musk's c*ntiness.

He's apparently going to force all public sector workers back into the office full time. He confidently expects that to cause mass voluntary resignations.

As well as damaging public service, I predict this will disproportionately affect women, who are more likely to have roles of carers that make it harder to work in the office. What happens to those women then? At least some will claim welfare. The country loses productive workers. Families slide into poverty. But all Musk cares about is numbers. He's a grade A c*nt.

I've met some grade A c*nts in my life, but enough about my sex life...😏

Sorry if this comes across as prudish or Victorian or something, but I really really don't like the word cnt being used as an insult like this. Twat is similar but not everybody is aware of what it actually refers to.
But we all know what a cnt is, and thankfully it is nothing like an Elon Musk!

One wonders where America will be in 4 years (and Germany, but that's not the topic of this thread).

Another thing that makes me dislike him. He tries to project himself as a genius and great thinker, a mover and shaker. He also brags that he is the best player in the world at Diablo v, a grindy video game. Fact checkers have shown that whilst not the best, he is in the top hundred or so players in the world. Since how good you are is directly based on what gear you have, this is not primarily a skill based position, it reflects having no life and spending all your time grinding on a video game.

He is just a rich version of a basement troll. He doesn't spend his life having big ideas, he spends vast hours of it playing online video games and dick swinging about how good at pvp (player versus player) he is. However immature you thought this man was, you probably underestimated it.

And Elon paid some other REALLY clever men to do everything he is credited with achieving, and some really young boys mined all that lithium out of the ground, for those Tesla batteries.

Agree. He’s no genius. But he is power hungry. How do we protect our institutions from people like Musk.

I can’t believe how many people / organisations (👀 ADL) are desperately trying to make out he didn’t perform a nazi salute. This would be funny if it weren’t so despicable.

I feel like some people want it to be a nazi salute but I'm not convinced at all. I think he's an interplanetary scale bell end but not a nazi, no.

Elon Musk is still a twat, but if he was trying to do a Nazi salute, he did an appalling job of it. The angle was all wrong and everything.

Please, people: it is possible to have a very low opinion of someone and still not jump to the worst possible conclusion about everything they do. You're not a 12-year-old bully so stop acting like one.

@BezMills id love for it not to have been a Nazi salute but no point getting g twisted up trying to see anything but what he actually did. People in the crowd did it back and it’s not like he doesn’t have racist sympathies and upbringing.

I’d say some people are desperately trying to say that it wasn’t, when clearly it was. I’m dying at the ADL literally not knowing what to do with themselves.
But Elons funding of far right ideologies worries me more than whether a racist did a racist thing.

I guess I'm struggling with the explanation for his behaviour. He decided to do a couple of Heil Hitlers on a worldwide stage, but did it kind of a bit weird, like it was in code, plausibly deniable, a secret (globally public) message to his followers, and that he could immediately deny (because he's famously scared of what people think of him).

I guess there are some people who are delighted that he's giving it the big Heil Hitler High5 because either A they love Hitler themselves or B they are glad that he's come out of the Crypto Fash Closet where we can keep an eye on him.

The consensus online seems to be 'definitely a nazi salute' (apart from the ADL who are being ever so charitable and circumspect) so yanno, there is that.

I'm in not two but several minds about Musk's 'salute', having seen it several times, and heard that he was saying 'Thank you' to the crowd at the time.

I also try not to jump to the most extreme conclusion BUT...
every time I look at it, there's some shocking in the horribly-familiar form taken by what is claimed to have been a friendly wave expressing heartfelt thanks to an adoring crowed. Not once but twice.

What was he thinking? What made his arm 'wave' in that way? Was there a subconscious intention? Who happily 'waves' to friends with a stiff arm and hand extended outwards?

Of course now he's gone and done it, there has to be a 'Nazi salute? Pshaw! It was nothing of the sort! Don't be silly!' response from the Trump camp, but it was very unsettling gesture by Musk, intentional or not, and I can't unsee it.

See I really can’t see it. I went back and watched some videos of actual nazi salutes. They are straight armed from beside the hip, directly upwards to that final position directly in front of and slightly above the shoulder.

Musk did a bent arm hand on heart, reach out diagonally across his body and ending up far to the side of his body. Not in front! More like an actress receiving adoration than a nazi salute.

Well one was ‘allo ‘allo, so probably not a big problem. One was that history news reel site whose name escapes me today.

I mean I’m not rummaging in the dark web or asking neo nazis to demonstrate.

Somehow that's worse ... Google showing "nazi salute" as the top search term for today ?????? (With all the other unsavoury results. People could see some very disturbing sites ....)
