There have been five women now who have spoken to podcasts about the predatory behaviour of Neil Gaiman.

Has Joanne Harris gone? Hadn't heard - hopefully good news, although likely she'll be replaced with another simpering handmaiden, I suspect.

From the podcast it seems ike AP was intentionally creating a pipeline of awestruck 22 year olds for NG to sleep with, presumably to protect the marriage. But I don’t want to believe that of someone who seems like they were also a victim of his behaviour (I personally don’t believe there is an ok way to have an open marriage with a baby/toddler involved that doesn’t inevitably become one-sided and abusive to the mother).

Do feel free to tell Deadline we don't care what NG has to say unless it's addressing the allegations...

I still think a lot of people won’t have heard about these allegations thanks to the media cover-up and bot spamfest. What a wonderful sense of job satisfaction those PR specialists must feel.

There's a daily counter throughout the thread :) today is day 58...

I mention it frequently on my personal social accounts and each time different friends and family express shock. These are friends and family who engage with and comment on my posts frequently. It's almost as though algorithms are being tweaked to hide any posts sharing Tortoise links, or mentioning it...

I’ll add a few into the mix.

Neil Gaiman sexual assault allegations. Neil Gaiman predator. Neil Gaiman grooming. Neil Gaiman metoo. Neil Gaiman misogynist. Neil Gaiman is a fraud. Neil Gaiman rape allegations. Neil Gaiman groping.

I can count the number of celebrities accused of sexual assault by multiple women who weren't guilty on the fingers of one foot.

I watched the Tupac documentary last night where they discussed the phenomenon whereby a fan thinks of their idol as a friend and therefore can't easily accept that they'd behave in a way that would appeal them. A parasocial relationship. I think there's probably a lot of this going on with sections of NG's fanbase who are quite active on social media.

I like to mention NG IRL where I can as Guardian and BBC subscribers are the most likely to remain ignorant. Every little helps

This will sound weird, but hear me out - sometimes I think the most mentally healthy fandom out there is Kiss fans.

Ask a Kiss fan if they think Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons are lovely guys, and they'll most likely tell you that Paul and Gene are a couple of gigantic assholes who are only in it for the money, who probably stopped caring about the music decades ago... but they work really hard to entertain us, so we're happy to give Paul and Gene a little bit of our money in exchange for the fun they give us.

A lot of NG's young fans seem to have adopted him as a friend/cool uncle/life coach. If they feel betrayed it's for the right reasons, but I can't help thinking they're very similar to the subset of Harry Potter fans who formed a really unhealthy parasocial attachment to JKR and then turned viciously against her when mummy said something mean.

I know it is a little thing, but I contacted audible abd requested a refund on one of his audio books. I linked to the tortoise news article

Importantly, KISS openly acknowledges that they're in it for the money.

An interesting new development on the Reddit thread. Someone there has done some digging and regarding the "therapist" both NG and AP urged a suicidal Scarlett to contact... while it was obvious that it was super dodgy and would be deeply unprofessional anyway, it now appears this person appears to have no qualifications whatsoever and claims to have been a 'minister' of some kind. I wonder what his real connection is.
