Just reading the thread on here for the first time. What I fail to understand is why so many contributors are so desperate for her to be a man. Someone who has lived their entire life as a woman. Beggars belief.

No one's allowed to see them when they cry

You have extrapolated an incorrect conclusion from my premises.

You should be able to grasp that from my previous post.

If you are unable to, I don't think I can help you further.

Translates as... I've said something ridiculous that I can't back up with good evidence or support with rational argument, so I'm going to call you stupid for not being able to understand the depth of my (ahem) wisdom and patronise you in the hope you'll stop asking questions I can't answer.

You're perfectly welcome to respond to my posts.

But when you lie about what I am saying, I will point that out.

Given your inclination to lie I take that as a sign of bad faith, and you should understand some posters might not want to engage fully in those situations as it is tiresome pointing out the misrepresentations and lies, time and time again.

How many ways are you going to find to say you won't engage with Helle?!

From the outside it looks like can't rather than won't.

Haha, excellent 😂.

Another great example of misrepresentation, lies and abominably poor logic. 😂

Charlottescobweb · 14/08/2024 21:25

@Theeyeballsinthesky She was actually born a girl at birth some women have more testosterone than oestrogen. My partner knew a woman who had hair growing out of her face and was big she could drink any man under the table. She was born a girl it took her ages to conceive a child and she was lucky she managed to have 1.

She probably had PCOS

It's almost as if you think that if you keep talking shite it'll stop being shite.

Can you quote from my posts please...

What exactly have I said that that is ridiculous and can not back up with good evidence of support with rational argument?

😂 Am intrigued.

”involvement in sport to an excessive degree etc”

And where have I lied?

This is what you presented as a reason for delayed / non existent menstruation.

Here is another reason for delayed or non-existent menstruation - being a male with testes going through a male puberty. That also fits with those inconvenient official tests that ruled that Khelif was not chromosomally XX and was judged to have had male pubertal advantages.

Do you have a reason for ignoring those tests? And the one reported by Khelif’s own coaching staff?

Ok you have a problem with grasping logic, we have established that.

You said of my posts " You declare it is ludicrous to point out that a male who didn’t start intense sport until 17 would not be impacted by activity delayed menstruation"

This is an incorrect conclusion from anything I have said, and a lie.

When someone is so transparent in their willingness to misrepresent and lie it is nonsensical to try to engage with them in good faith, as it is likely that person will continue to misrepresent and lie.

Why would I waste my time?

You haven't even acknowledged your lie!

Or understood the false logic you are employing.

Why would I engage further given this?!

Helleofabore · 14/08/2024 22:13

suggestionsplease1 · 14/08/2024 20:50

I mean this is very simplistic.

A lot of young people in the world unfortunately are not knowledgeable about how puberty usually manifests.

And a lot of girls may not get periods for one reason or another, consistent very low body weight, involvement in sport to an excessive degree etc.

And as for being carried on a man's shoulders, you can not generalise about cultural experiences. Women who are extremely rich are often treated differently and more like men in some cultures. Women who have different shades of skin from the norm are often treated differently and more like men. Women who are tourists or who are famous are often treated differently from most other women. Women in family or close friend situations might experience more familiar interactions and physical proximity than they would do with complete strangers.

There is no singular experience as a woman in any given culture.

Ok. Let’s try another of your claims.

Which culture is it permissible for a coach, in full view of the world’s cameras, to put a hand where there would be a breast if that coach believed their client was a female? And in Algeria?

Do tell? I am all ears for your explanation.

Just a slip of the hand? Absolutely permissible? Nothing to be said?

Or, is it likely that the coaching staff understand that this person is male and not female at all?

I haven’t lied. You stated that one of the reasons for delayed menstruation was intense sport. Did you or did you not?

I pointed out that this person did not start intense sport until they were late teens. When they were spotted playing football with the boys and invited to try boxing.

otnot · 14/08/2024 22:22

Totally agree. If a man wants to put on a dress, call himself Susan and punch women in the face, we should embrace that. What do a few broken cheekbones matter in the grand scheme of things after all? The most important thing is that we should be tolerant.

KohlaParasaurus · 14/08/2024 22:24

Oh, dear!

Contrary to the original post, I think the majority of posters in these parts would have been delighted and relieved to have had a reason to believe that Imani Khalif was a particularly talented female boxer. Instead, the information that has been made publicly available from multiple sources, and the evidence of our own eyes and ears, tells us that he's male, possibly with a DSD, and the back story has changed several times over the past couple of weeks so we can't even be sure how much of the "raised as a girl" narrative is true.

Helleofabore · 14/08/2024 22:24

Great. So you said that intense sport is a reason for delayed menstruation.

I said it is ludicrous to use that as a reason here because they could not be said to be doing intense sport until they were 17 or so. If I phrased it clumsily, so you didn’t understand what I said, just say so. No need for accusations of lies.

Do you agree that it would be dishonest to suggest that Khalif had delayed menstruation due to ‘intense sport’ since they did not start boxing until 17?

Why did you suggest it?

Oh dear OP, you just don't get it do you? I don't care if this person 'lived as a woman' whatever the hell that means, if he is biologically male he shouldn't be competing in women's sport. End of.

Its clearly a troll

Because they want someone to direct all their trans women angst at. And because the tabloids quite deliberately couched things in a way that suggested that she was a man at first, which stirred people up. She's become a scapegoat...and I actually blame all those men identifying as women in the sporting arena for her experiencing this backlash. It's hardly fair on her. As for the hormonal issues, it's not fair on her competitors either. The whole thing has been handled terribly.
