Just reading the thread on here for the first time. What I fail to understand is why so many contributors are so desperate for her to be a man. Someone who has lived their entire life as a woman. Beggars belief.

I'd just like to add that brittle bones are associated with Swyers syndrome so they'd be the first with the syndrome to be a boxer, let alone an Olympic champion.

So what do you mean by ‘live as a woman’?

For what reason? Women with Swyer's can be taller than average so that may prove to be an advantage, but any extra height is not as a consequence of extra testosterone (it's a consequence of delayed puberty). They can also suffer from osteoporosis, but probably not until later in life.

At no point did I say that Imane Khelif HAD swyer syndrome (I know it's floating around the www but the original source has been removed). If you can find where I stated that, please feel free to quote. I used it as an example where a person has XY chromosomes but reproductive organs of a female, and then gave a hypothetical scenario that could happen to any one of our own children, that everyone has chosen not to answer 🤔

As far as the IOC is concerned, female puberty could mean being of puberty age with a female passport.

So that post was completely irrelevant to a thread about Imane Khelif and therefore can be very reasonably ignored.

@Theeyeballsinthesky She was actually born a girl at birth some women have more testosterone than oestrogen. My partner knew a woman who had hair growing out of her face and was big she could drink any man under the table. She was born a girl it took her ages to conceive a child and she was lucky she managed to have 1.

I’m sure you can provide evidence of this - I mean if you have evidence of this it would put it all to bed wouldn’t it?

I believe that there is no reason to ignore the two tests done and analysed by two independent labs for the IBA. A medical doctor with the speciality of being a Gynecologist confirmed this.

Statements from not only the IBA, but also WBC and EBC have made the same statements. Including the all important statement that this athlete has male pubertal advantage.

You can personally choose to deny all this. And the coach in Paris. But you are trying to fit female health conditions to a male person. You declare it is ludicrous to point out that a male who didn’t start intense sport until 17 would not be impacted by activity delayed menstruation. Yeah, I don’t think so. I think you are desperately reaching for reasons in light of what you are actively dismissing.
