Just reading the thread on here for the first time. What I fail to understand is why so many contributors are so desperate for her to be a man. Someone who has lived their entire life as a woman. Beggars belief.

Has that answer been triple certified by the appropriate agency, Red?

cross posted.

"Winston, how many fingers am I holding up"
"One"

What do you mean fingers?

Everyone can see that its three toes being held up.

I've asked an accredited Russian accountant and they agree with me.

AutumnCrow · 15/08/2024 14:59

Can you name a single issue with the endocrinologist?

Erm, they're talking shite?

LHayday · 15/08/2024 15:01

You are assuming she is a man. Show me your proof.

RTFT

HootyMcBooby · 15/08/2024 15:04

There's FAR more proof that "she" is a man, than "she" is a woman.

If an unscrupulous sporting body wanted to discredit an athlete they would be totally fucking stupid to do it using genetic material that is being examined on the basis of DNA!

You can’t just switch out the blood sample for a random Russian gangster or somesuch and no one notice 😂😂😂😂

Of course the Russians can do this.

Just as the Russians are not at war with Ukraine.

spannasaurus · 15/08/2024 15:33

If you wanted to falsely discredit an athlete then surely the easiest way would be to spike their food or drink with a banned substance so that they fail a drugs test

Can you describe to us without resorting to stereotypes how a person “lives as a woman”?

Is Imane "resorting to stereotypes"? Should she be?

I've seen posts here on other related threads (can't remember which ones, the board is half-full of them now) implying Imane "can't be a woman" because she hasn't been seen wearing a hijab (which btw is optional in Algeria, not mandatory), and because after winning gold she was carried on the shoulders of her male trainer (we seem to have some Algerian culture experts on here).

Seems to be a lose-lose for Imane. If she were to do "stereotypical" woman things she would be probably criticised for that too, yet if she doesn't these same people are saying "see, she can't be a real woman".

Stop it now, you are literally making stuff up as you go along, just because you want to argue with us!

Eyeball isn't asking whether Imane is resorting to stereotypes, she's asking what it means for Imane to "live as a woman".

Helleofabore · 15/08/2024 15:44

I don't know. I think it is hard to look past the Algerian official's pat on the chest where a breast on international media streaming across the world that would be an action that says that the officials and Khelif don't really believe that Khelif is female.

Is it helpful or productive in any way to scrutinise Imane and her trainer in every detail? Is the way she celebrates "proof" of whether she is a woman or not? Should she be celebrating in a certain way to meet the approval of a few people on a forum in a foreign country?

Shortshriftandlethal · 15/08/2024 15:55

rmc2001 · 15/08/2024 14:02

Do you have a source for this? X

Do your own research, maybe by looking back over the various threads on this forum. Lots of sources, including from the pre -Olympic training camp in Spain - in which Khelif ended up having to spar with Spain's best male boxer, as the female boxers were getting injured.

No, how Khelif acts is not proof of his sex one way or another but it is evidence that his team don't believe he's a woman

Unfortunately, given the absence of responsibility from the IOC it has been left to journalists, and others, to investigate the truth of the matter. Biologically male; brought up 'as a girl' pre-puberty - in a very traditional and poor mountain community, but post puberty has sparred, trained and played with males, and presents as male in everyday life.

Let's not forget Algeria ia a Muslim society - in which female roles and behaviours are tightly controlled.

Helleofabore · 15/08/2024 16:08

Well. Either an official patting the breast of an athlete on international media is sexual assault and we should have heard news that the official was terminated.

Or, it was considered appropriate behaviour by one male to another because it was not on a breast but a chest.

The lack of outcry internationally was also rather indicative too.

ApocalipstickNow · 15/08/2024 16:12

Don’t we all thank our trainers by letting them have a little go on our boobs?

Its Benny Hill logic.

Trick question. Anyone can see that one of those fingers is a genetic thumb.

Well not if you're trying to maintain that Khelif is a woman, no.

quite! I didn’t think we’d have to explain that extremely obvious point but yet here we are!
