I emailed the Party of Women for their thoughts on Ms MacDonald's recent Twitter diatribes.

"Great word though isn't it?"

What Kelly-Jay Keen, founder of above party, thinks of the slur "tr**n". Good to know the Party of Women has no interest in women's rights and just exists to be transphobic.

Don't flatter yourself.

BezMills · 28/06/2024 19:43

I think it's absolutely disgusting that some malicious actor is impersonating F Wallace on the Xits and Mumsnet, making them look like a proper [redacted]. I only hope the real FW is on the ball and sues the bejesus out of the fake FW

Because only a desperate saddo lackwit would be on the internets faking stuff, and the law should protect decent people from such depraved behaviour.

Christinapple · 28/06/2024 19:43

RantyMcRanterton · 28/06/2024 14:29

Christinapple a question for you, please?

You have been told that using the slur cis is considered offensive by many on these boards. Would you please stop using it in discourse on FWR, please. Thank you.

The only times I've mentioned it on here have been discussing with others on its definition, which there seemed a little uncertainty of which I felt might help from a little clarification backed up from Oxford English Dictionary, Collins and dictionary.com

As cisgender and its prefix cis are perfectly recognised and valid terms which aren't slurs, I see no reason not to use it which would basically be allowing others to control what I say.

But I guess since this is mumsnet, I will be happy to comply with your wishes for the sake of a civil discussion.

RantyMcRanterton · 28/06/2024 19:44

That is very civil of you, much appreciated. Thank you.

Sloejelly · 28/06/2024 19:57

oh the irony.

A word starting with F was inserted after our. It was exactly what you can't bring yourself to write

That is the lowest of the low. I mean, photoshop in 'tr**n' [new to me, too] or something transphobic - that would be not just bad but, apparently, illegal.

But invoking .. I'm sorry again I don't even want to put onscreen the detail of how inappropriate this is.
Obviously FW is trying to back up the old accusation that CG=fascist, but to take it all the way back to the Third Reich is beyond despicable.

I don't know what to say. I find it hard to believe that somebody would even think of doing that.

" photoshop in 'tr**n'"

Did this happen on the actual leaflets? Or just her tweets?

I saw the tweets for myself and there are archives, she has indeed used "tr**n" in at least 3 tweets.

I'm using stars to censor, but it looks like this is affecting formatting if anyone's wondering where the random bold is coming from.

I know. Jesus fuck. What sort of a person fakes the use of Holocaust terminology to discredit a political opponent? How disconnected from society do you have to be to think that is ok?

Again and again I keep coming back to "accusations are confessions". When someone claims that people who say or do X really mean Y, what they are actually telling you is how they think, the connections their minds make, the mental places they go first.

And one then has to wonder, how much of the fury and panic TRAs exhibit against "transphobes" and "terfs" is actually because deep down they don't really accept trans identities either, and so they project that deep down unacknowledged feeling of wrongness onto the people who challenge them and ascribe our motivation to that regardless of what we actually say?

eatfigs · 28/06/2024 22:43

It is a slur and one I wouldn't use personally but it's only directed at males so I don't really care to be honest. The amount of times I've heard bitch, cunt, whore, slag from men and we're just expected to accept this sort of vitriol. Maybe next time I'll call the police. Or no I won't because only an assault on the fragile male ego counts as malicious communication so what's the point.

Very old Latin prefix

Tell me you’re uneducated without telling me etc.

a term widely used in organic Chemistry

I was deleted, because I mentioned AGP. I'll try again.

Many women (loads I personally know), think that most transwomen are AGP. Not a generalisation, HQ, a specific personal observation.

See Debbie Hayton who advocates for AGP men to use women's toilets.

They do not see this as something to respect. They see it as the fetishisation of women's oppression, and sexist in the extreme.

It's no good asking these women to respect men, or the terms they want us to use for them.

This.

Troon is what the trans users of the Something Awful forum coined themselves a fair few years ago.

SA forum users are called 'Goons', hence the trans population on there using the portmanteau Troon.

Also it is not a automatically banned word on Reddit r/4tran4 uses it (or are they ignored because they are transgender 4chan users?)

It is and I can vouch for my own experience of reddit's moderation, there aren't many gender critical people on reddit but when I see any who become hateful I report them and they usually end up suspended.

Ran a quick search to find "tr--n" posts on the sub you mentioned and checked the username of the posters. Turns out most of the users on there who have used the slur have been permanently banned from reddit.

For example (offensive link and NSFW, just as an example of this)

The user is banned as you can see here.

Despite being a sub that's supposedly meant for trans people, it looks like it's been over-run by gender critical people, thanks for letting me know I've reported some stuff on there. If it's became unmoderated because the mods are all inactive, that usually leads to the sub itself being banned.

ImFineThankYouSusan · 29/06/2024 03:35

Lol. That sub is mostly populated by actual trans people. God forbid they don't subscribe to your way of thinking. They are not allowed to circlejerk and poke fun of themselves? That makes them GC?!

Well done with trying to get a trans space taken down 👏

Such a bore.

Christina loves to broadcast their attempts to censor. I mean it's the TRA protocol. But it does come across as weird when you get to see the inner workings.

Just because a word is in the dictionary doesn't mean it isn't a slur.

On the other hand, I don't think "fragile" can be termed hateful - if the cap fits...

Eg 'spastic'. It has a medical meaning connected to spasms / disruption in muscle movement. It is possible to have a 'spastic colon' which is more often referred to as IBS.

But using it about a person is a slur.

Generally if you are using a term that the group you are referring to understand as a slur people with an ounce of decency stop using it.

This is why 'coloured', became; BME, ethnic minority, person of colour.

Reddit will ban you for anything even slightly critical of this sexist ideology, so that's no surprise. Post "males should not be allowed in female spaces" on one account and report it on another, you'll be hit by a ban for "promoting hate". They'll do anything to protect these males.

The leaflet. The Interference with the canvassing process and election material. The photoshopping of a grotesquely offensive phrase. The leaflet. The leaflet. The topic.

Sloejelly · 29/06/2024 09:34

Why shouldn’t a candidate use fragile as a slur against a police officer interfering in an election by committing a crime and threatening a candidate? I think ‘hateful’ might be a better description of the police officer and seems to be a slur tra posters on here love to throw around so presumably wouldn’t have a problem with.

BezMills · 29/06/2024 10:10

Sadly not surprised to find Sorry Police Force's PC Useful moonlighting in Yorkshire.
