Bumping this in case anyone has any power, the level of lies in the articles is staggering

Wikipedia has responded and said they will never make these pages unprotected - small changes that significantly downplay the impact of this judgement have been made, but they are clearly very biased

How can they claim to be inclusive after an employment tribunal found that they literally excluded females with GC views? 🙈

I assumed they meant that they will remain “inclusive” of trans/gender ideology (ie continue as they had been). To me, they appear to be reassuring people that they will continue - a kind of “fuck you, you bigots” to the judge, Roz and anyone gender critical…

Snowypeaks · 20/05/2024 14:41

Roz Adams herself is a staunch trans ally. Ditto JKR, Kathleen Stock, Hilary Cass. There are more, of course. But all these incredible women would go to bat for people who claim special identities. It makes their treatment even more shocking.

The madness of GI ideology.

Women already have the right to know the sex of their counsellor - that is our human right to privacy, dignity and safety - and RCCs are lawfully able to provide all-women support staff and volunteers under the EA. Stonewall Law "training" has muddied the waters.

I agree.

Also the TwiX post is trying to feed the narrative that Roz Adams or IAmSarah took/is taking action out of spite to try and get the RCCs to stop helping MCWs. That they are so bigoted that they would prefer nobody is helped rather than allow MCWs to be helped. So we're still here = those evil bigots can't stop us supporting rape and SA survivors.

Mmmnotsure · 20/05/2024 14:50

I'd forgotten that they knew about Beira's Place (an internal message was sent saying how distressing it was that BP had been set up) and having turned down a female rape victim who needed same-sex care, ERCC didn't even tell her that an alternative was available. Mridul Wadhwa and co must really hate women.

lechiffre55 · 20/05/2024 15:01

How mean and twisted do you have to be to refuse to help someone who wants single sex help support for rape and domestic violence?
If I worked at Beira's place, and a MtF victim turned up, I would have to politely refuse, but I would let them know about other support services that did support them and try to help them find what they needed. Pass on contact details of organisations that could help them, "Would you like me to give them a quick call on your behalf?", hand over any literature with advice relevant to their circumstances, give as much aid as possible, etc...
These people are heartless souless human beings.

I'm not on twiX but I believe IW's take on the judgement is rather deranged interesting 🤔

Ah, now that's because you're not a heartless, sadistic control freak.

Sloejelly · 20/05/2024 15:18

Snowypeaks I’m afraid I disagree with you. There is no Cass version. The Cass version is simply the public relations front to the extreme totalitarian version. It is the version sold by ‘be kind’ as they undress in the female changing room, or to get the GRA passed. But as soon as people conceded this, their true presentation appeared - like Hayton issuing veiled threats to JKR, that she is playing with fire, when she identifies that a man who has spent months harassing her is indeed a man.

BettyBooper · 20/05/2024 15:21

The Guardian has finally managed to report it...

Though the whole article screams that they would rather to anything but!

Yes, IW’s summary of events makes me wonder if it is even the same court case.

Indeed! Very very begrudgingly!

I can just imagine them spending all day thinking about how they could write a negative article about Roz without looking completely ridiculous 🤔

Sloejelly · 20/05/2024 15:25

I suspect they (Guardian, BBC et al) monitor social media in the hope that no one notices, and finally give in only when it would be too blatantly obvious they are avoiding reporting a news story.

Yeah those tweets are bonkers!

AccidentallyWesAnderson · 20/05/2024 15:25

When is IW going to be held to account for all the untrue deranged things IW says? Absolutely unhinged.

Well IW posted about Justine’s letter to the Guardian, and invited her followers over here “if they have a strong enough stomach”. I’m surprised we haven’t seen an uptick in the usual posts accusing us of being mean.

AmaryllisNightAndDay · 20/05/2024 15:31

@Snowypeaks "Women already have the right to know the sex of their counsellor - that is our human right to privacy, dignity and safety - and RCCs are lawfully able to provide all-women support staff and volunteers under the EA. Stonewall Law "training" has muddied the waters."

That's what I thought too. So shouldn't it be a slam-dunk for @IamSarah by now? I can't understand why Sussex are still at it. It was uncertain when she started but there have been a ton of cases since then and none of them have gone Sussex's way.

SidewaysOtter · 20/05/2024 15:40

AmaryllisNightAndDay · 20/05/2024 14:10

Well good news for all of us! Must be a huge relief to Roz Adams.

I wonder what the implications are for the Sussex Survivors Network discrimination case which is (still!) chugging very slowly towards the courts. This is about discrimantaion against a client (not a staff member) and Roz Adams case doesn't set a precedent (not an appeal case) but her tribunal seemed very clear that clients have the right to know what sex they're dealing with and to have their preferences respected. (There's a crowdfunder for anyone interested, try googling Sussex Survivors Network Sarah Summers)

So I'm very curious on what grounds Sussex plan to defend themselves now!

I should imagine that, no matter how optimistic they may have been at the outset, they've since watched case after case come down in support of gender critical/women's rights. Bailey, Phoenix, Meade, Adams. They must now realise that they're at risk of being absolutely eviscerated, with no way of backing out.

Oh dear. What a shame. Never mind.

AccidentallyWesAnderson · 20/05/2024 15:25

I assume IW is being held to account by the fact that IWs bank balance has no doubt been in free fall for a good while! Eventually they'll be down to the most basic of phone packages whilst living in their car and will hopefully then stop tweeting!

lordloveadog · 20/05/2024 15:42

Ah so that's how IW and the other gender loons are going to spin it. Roz was transphobic! The judge was transphobic! Everyone is transphobic! Everything is transphobic!

GailBlancheViola · 20/05/2024 15:43

MrsWhattery · 20/05/2024 13:55

Congratulations to Roz! What a brilliantly clear and damning outcome - I hope it helps a lot with the general overtoppling of this unscientific policymaking.

Extreme trans activism makes no distinction between sex and GI. If you ID as a woman your sex is also female. It doesn’t make any logical sense but that’s what they say.

Yes but the fact it doesn't make logical sense is important and is what so often trips them up.

Why on Earth would MW want rape victims to "reframe their trauma" if MW really thought TW are 100% women and there's no such thing as sex, only men and women as defined by saying so? If MW and other adherents to GI consider a TW to be a woman, then they wouldn't be smearing Roz as a TERF and bigot. They'd simply be wondering why she is mistaking a woman for a man. The fact that this is all about trans, and the concept of "trans exclusion" being invoked when someone thinks that biological sex matters, shows that MW understands that MW is a TW, and that to be a TW you have to be male.

Edited

Once again the sheer illogicality and heads I win tails you lose of GI is laid bare. How anyone, anywhere buys into to this rank, dangerous nonsense is beyond me.

Rainbowshit · 20/05/2024 15:46

Sandy brindley didn't resign from rape crisis Scotland after having been found to have discriminated against a disabled employee so I doubt MW will feel the need to resign.

Did I see somewhere that some of the board have resigned?

The really young cocky one who was called out as dogmatic in her beliefs hopefully!
