Continuation of Thread 7.

There is so much excellent information and so many active discussions on FWR that I wondered if it would be useful to have a thread to sort of "cross-fertilise" between them - airing little thoughts or vignettes that wouldn't themselves merit their own thread, to highlight other posts/threads of particular interest or to point to notable developments on fast-moving threads so that casual observers know where to look.

(For example, "the X thread has meandered onto a fascinating discussion of Y" or "Poster P's amazing analysis on thread Z might have relevance to the scenario in thread W" or "Has anybody noticed this recurring theme that keeps coming up??" or even "Random bloke asked me to smile while I was choosing onions in the supermarket, grr"- that sort of thing).

Agree. Her tweet just reads like all the same parroted platitudes we used to see by TRSOHers in the Old Place and here in FWR.

I felt the same the last time I spoiled my ballot! There was only me, the staff and one other voter in the room and you could've heard a pin drop if it weren't for my frantic scribbling.

You could have hummed a merry tune whilst you did it. I'm sure something suitable would come to mind. 😀

I was just picturing the poll bods wondering exactly how I was spelling 'X'. Wouldn't have surprised me if my ballot had drops of sweat on it along with my short essay on women's rights (with footnotes and a bibliography) 😁

For a long time I wanted to put a tick in the box against the candidate I wanted. It went against the grain to put a cross (=wrong). Pathetic, isn't it?😂

Thank god cake is not assigned at birth. I can imagine if assigned the wrong sort of cake I might wish to transition to a different cake. Are jaffa cakes proof that cake is not binary?

When I was at the birth of my two (not to boast but my role was pretty crucial), I wish someone had thought to assign me a cake.

I was considering changing my username to AssignedTerfAtBirth but I'm too attached to this one.

I’ve not seen @Helleofabore post for a couple of days, and it looks like @Boiledbeetle hasn’t posted since the 23rd, I’m hoping they’ve just name changed, or taking a short break.

I see her on Twitter occasionally, but I think she must have moved on for now. Wasn’t she very busy with Tribunal Tweets and real world activism? Perhaps she will re-emerge in future when she has more time?

As someone who is currently taking Zoladex for endometriosis and PMDD, which is apparently one of the most common puberty blockers, it really fucking isn’t and I was told repeatedly about the risks. The thought of subjecting a child to what I’ve been through in the last 3.5 months makes me sick.
