Can anyone help me and break down the cass report?

I know there are lots of threads on this but I have a personal investment in this and I need the information to use in correspondence.

I have autism and ADHD and everytime I try and read a thread I'm just getting lost in it and I can't seem to stop my head swarming. I've been trying all morning but I'm having a bad day for reading and comprehension.

Could some any take a moment to break down any of the bigger points into quotes, especially regarding schools and social transitioning guideline or recommendations.

The Cass Report is already discredited. It is a political positioning. Extremely Sad. They dismissed most studies showing the success of blockers because they were not double blinded control studies and newer studies of the last two years.

This is a next to impossible standard, and not one you see elsewhere. It's unethical to do this type of control study on kids - like giving one a parachute and one none when the plane is crashing.

What a complete load of toss, biased, and not worthy of he paper written on.

Who has it been discredited by? People who actually matter, such as decision makers in child healthcare? Or randoms on twitter?

Yeah, sure. Well it ties in perfectly with my experience of my child's social transition behind her parents back that caused huge amounts of damage emotionally to a child that already had a traumatic background. Once we put a stop to her using male pronouns and name at school it took just weeks for her to go back to her happy, normal, not confused self. And she openly says that she never thought she was a boy she was just very confused by the stuff school told her.

She's autistic and was influenced by her school and trans teachers.

Why would you want to take any risks with the health of a child? Surely you’d want anything they are given to treat them to have been subject to the gold standard of testing before allowing them to take it? I’m amazed that people wanted a higher standard of testing for the covid vaccine, which stopped children from dying, but would be willing to give them puberty blockers on the basis of less rigorously investigated evidence.

Anyone who is baffled or distressed by Mishy's unevidenced assertions can readily consult the methods and processes of almost any Health Technology Assessment body in the world.

As PPs say, prioritising the gold standard evidence of Randomised Controlled Trials (preferably double or triple-blind) is a standard used all the time. It's observed by companies that want to persuade health and social care commissioners or insurance payers to purchase their services.
