How can anyone watch this and yet still side with trans rights?
Do people think this behaviour is justified, because GC women wanting to protect their rights are evil incarnate?

Why is this behaviour not peaking the world?

And why do so many otherwise sane individuals think its OK to refer to a rapist as she and house him in a women's prison?

I've just had enough of it all.

Still trying for head tilt, isn't he. I hope angry little Orlando is happily chewing on a kerb somewhere. I wonder if he's got a job or a trust fund or a prison history. Who are these people???? Would he have just been a Millwall supporting football hooligan in the 80's or a knife carrying scooter youth of the 50's. What is this demographic, it's just shit.

Nah, it's like a whole new breed. Outcasts nurtured by fanatical corners of social media. Or as SirChenjins says, the eco warrior lot jumping on the next bandwagon.

There may be similarities with the football hooligans of old, though. The pack mentality perhaps.

I used to police football matches in the late 80s and early 90s. Thankfully, I never came up against anything too horrendous. I'll always remember a no nonsense female mounted officer, when confronted by a drunken fan one day. He'd been about to urinate in a public place and she trotted forward to tell him to move on. He was a bit of a cocky smart arse and said "Here officer, your horse looks knackered!" Quick as a flash, she replied "Yeah, so would you be if you'd been between my thighs for the past four hours!" His mouth just fell open.

I think that they are in a bind in a lot of cases. Do something and they are criticized. Do nothing, and they are criticized.

If they are seen as being too harsh with demonstrators they get a huge amount of flack.

I also think that they are trying not to escalate the violence. At most of these "protests" the TRAs massively outnumber the police.

I think they're just trying to keep a lid on it.

What they should have done is come down like a ton of bricks at the first sign of violence anywhere. The TRAs have just been emboldened by the police lack of response.

I doubt you'd get a police officer giving a clever reply like that these days - they all seem to take themselves far too seriously.

Does this work for you @Helleofabore ?

In fact, I cannot now find the report that I did find where the women were accurately described . Maybe it was one of their commentators tweeting rather than even a news clip. That is disappointing in that I thought there might be one mainstream free to air channel accurately reporting. The women though at the rally reported the police were very good in keeping all the protesting parties out this time.

Lee Hazel was interesting to listen to. And Mel took her padding out of her bra and just stood. That was quite sad really. A detransitioner just showing the damage done to her.

This is a terrible argument though. How someone protests has no bearing on the rightness or wrongness of the things they are protesting about.

I respectfully disagree as TRAs are protesting against women who disagree that there is absolutely no difference between women and men who think they are women. They demand access to female on spaces on this basis but then show themselves to be exactly what we are concerned about by displaying male pattern aggression and violence.

As an aside, I hadn't noticed previously that Police horses wear shin pads.

Yes, that behaviour is abohhrant. However I would be careful about smearing an entire group of people because of the actions of one person, especially when GC views are being co-opted by the far right and gammon media.

Yup

GailBlancheViola · 24/03/2024 15:56

And the 'both sides' hand wringers can fuck right off. Women aren't stoating about the place wearing masks, shouting abuse, throwing soup and milkshakes, punching elderly women in the face or trying to scare animals.

If you're still spouting the 'both sides' bullshite, you deserve to be laughed at.

Abso-fucking-lutely @Waitwhat23

None of these be kind, both sides submissive pawns can ever show any evidence of women with GC views behaving like TRAs. Not a sliver. Their hand wringing both sides rhetoric is as pathetic as they are.

Pattern recognition is not a right wing hate crime. 🙄

Nor is willful naivety a virtue.

If it was a GC woman doing it, I think there'd be other woman saying come with us and calm down, what you're doing is not a good idea.

Yep both sides is BS

They tried that even with the 70 year old woman punched in the face

That is exactly the sort of personality and dialogue I would have envisaged for the horse. Unflappable, wry sense of humour and professional from head to hooves. And I also imagined her as a mare - couldn't see any evidence to the contrary, but the angle wasn't conclusive.

orangeandpinks · 24/03/2024 16:09

@GailBlancheViola what point?

I'm GC and pro-biological women - I don't find a thread using the example of one person's shoddy behaviour to be hateful about everyone with a different view to be helpful.

Sadly not all GC people are nice or behave well (eg right wing Americans who hate trans people and also are anti abortion etc) - I don't want to be linked with them just because we agree on one single issue.

In footage captured by the Herald Sun, horrified diners had front row seats to a heated brawl outside The Cricketer's Bar at the Hotel Windsor between a women's right's supporter, dressed in all black and wearing sunglasses, and a group of protesters.
The man, who had allegedly been antagonising transgender supporters, is seen shoving the activists before grabbing one by the throat and slamming them against the wall.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 24/03/2024 16:24

Still can’t figure out what happened or who was violent or got arrested.

Gammon is a racist term, were you aware?

Likening the pink skin of white people to pigs ...(For the hard of thinking).
