If you want your MP to attend the debate and support the bill then Sex Matters have a template here which you can edit/complete and send via their website.

I can see why are doing this but, on a practical note, MPs who get such mass mailing handle them in different ways so you may well not get a personalised reply and some choose not to reply at all. Just a heads-up.

MississippiAF · 12/03/2024 16:58

Done, thank you. Liz Truss actually doing some good..

I agree that a totally unique to you letter or email would be best but at least being contacted at all shows weight of cosntituents' opinion. Then the MP can't say no one ever brings the subject up. And getting a few emails more than they might have expected might be the difference between an on-the-fence MP taking it seriously or not.

My MP doesn't respond to these templates and I'm not sure if he even reads them.
He's very responsive to my own emails though( Tory )

Done thank you

Freda69 · 12/03/2024 17:13

I’ve just done this and added a bit about being frequently in hospital which is the issue that bothers me most. Hospital wards are pretty chaotic and not that well supervised especially at night. Anything could happen. I’ve had dementia patients trying to get into my bed!
I still can’t believe that I agree with Liz Truss on anything, but needs must.

UtopiaPlanitia · 12/03/2024 17:45

Thanks for the link - I’ll use the template email as a basis for writing a personal email as I don’t want to give my MP a chance to ignore it because it’s part of a mass mail shot.

Froodwithatowel · 12/03/2024 17:50

Done. Thank you.

Done but my MP is Alex Sobel, notorious for calling out people with gender critical views Bigots. So insulting. Ive written anyway and asked him if he has read the WPATH report and has changed his mind.
