I was thinking about this this morning. It feels like Theroux has had some audience research done and is v keen to not offend his target demographic. He spends quite a bit of time saying 'for our younger listeners' but rarely the other way round. I wonder how much influence Spotify has too - I know nothing about them.

I'm listening to it now - I'm so happy to hear her speak she has been so meaningful to me throughout my life. I knew she was in a retirement home of some sort and really pleased to hear her sounding clear and healthy. At 84 she has more between her ears than her interviewer!
