It was a poster who disappears and reappears under new names from time to time. They disappeared again after that but they will return. They are a male 'ally' I believe. Boiled did a Travelodge name change once to reflect the topic under discussion with them. At one time we all had shortened the nickname to a British 70s & 80s band name. The short name consisted of three letters - they were Electric! And so so Light!.... The poster... well they were not so Electric or light.

I enjoyed the 'Somatically Female' link which I haven't seen before. Very catchy.

I had to look up the meaning of 'somatic'. It's used to mean of the body rather than of the mind. So makes no sense in the context of gender identity but heh, I've learned a new word.

The number was at least 100 per year in an established trend. So, meaning many more than just 100.

Why as soon as trans rights are mentioned are schools mentioned in the same breath? Do people honestly believe schools are pushing children into changing gender? I’m too busy planning lessons, marking books, entering data etc to even think about gender as an issue.

Musing as to what MN's deletion policy is on a post edited to change a sex based pronoun to one that's not. If a monitor complains does the entire post get deleted even if the poster has 'corrected' it?
