'Particularly when it comes to questions around women's safety and health, biological sex is important.' Parents need to be involved in schools.

Rishi Sunak is asked 'why should LGBT people vote Conservative?'

GB news is not a channel I tend to watch so thanks for linking the clip.

As someone who has never voted Conservative in my life I think that Sunak came across really well. He's the father of two daughters, I'm sure that he does mean what he says. Nothing controversial in what he said at all, just a concern for women and children, and quite respectful when asked about the T.

I think RMW needs to do a lot more of these appearances.
RMW could be most helpful in assisting the public to make up their own mind about Sunak's answers.

What's interesting is the distraction techniques used (from the Guardian letter, the faux outrage of Starmer last week, people criticising a TV channel etc). No one ever goes on about the actual issue, instead attack other issues, like "culture war" etc.

That's because the fact that people are losing their rights due to a very vocal subset of a small minority and it's very obvious, you look rather stupid when you have to deny biological reality to #bekind.

I don't care what political party the person is, what media it is, if someone like the PM can say this stuff publicly (after attempts last week to silence him), then that is a positive, and no one can claim that anything that was said was offensive.

TBF, RMW has said that they didn’t want to risk vocal chord surgery, what with being a barista barrister.

White acknowledged that White’s voice had power necessary for White’s success in the court room. And tried to deny that that ‘power’ came from a male set of lungs as well as the male timbre of that voice.

PaperWalkAndTalk · 13/02/2024 09:29

A question I would like to ask someone like RMW is "what part of LGB were you before you transitioned"?

I just find it odd (although everyone's doing it now) of these heterosexual men who now believe that they are part of the gay community. Apparently in the old days the homosexual transsexuals did not want to be associated with the heterosexual transvestites.

I wouldn't be at all surprised at a little girl called Robin. Someone in their sixties I'd assume male.

My landlady in the '90s who would be in her 70s now was called Robin.
I never thought it was a man's name particularly. I knew one in my teens too - about my own age. (I'm 52)

Wasn’t RW SWE’s representative in the Rachel Meade case? Perhaps it will start to dawn on RW that the power of RW’s voice is irrelevant when the case is as desperately flawed as that one. 😂

Actress Robin Wright was born in 1966, so it's not that new as a female name.

I still don't trust him, I'm pretty sure he will say anything to get votes.

Agreed but he is man with a wife and 2 daughters (I think) Let’s hope he does see the point of view of biological women and the dangers they can face in everyday life, with rules that were put in place to protect women being eradicated. Not that we should have to refer to ourselves as biological.

I'm a barrister fom Somerset The only lawyer I've come across who feels obliged to announce their county of birth, rather than their legal expertise, on the telly.

Also rather unfair on the able legal bods of Somerset. NALALT
