In the dentists surgery there are women muttering about what happens to our teeth when we have babies. Waiting to pick my son up early because he has certain issues I sit with the cleaners whilst the assembly finishes… they mutter too about the back breaking work they do to earn towards their pensions because they took a work break to have babies. If I’m lucky enough to get my hair cut in my local salon… they are muttering about the care jobs they have and having to give priority to men. My mum is 75, all her friends are muttering about the lack of health care for their specifically female problems, (I am talking prolapses, nasty shit that’s not acknowledged and nobody gives a shit). We are sick of being ignored. KJK isn’t going to solve our problems… but she might allow the THOUSANDS OF US just to be acknowledged. Nobody else is. They couldn’t give a flying fuck about any of us but we are a massive and important part of society. We are unheard and ignored.
Single issue voting is apparently pointless and laughable to some. Believe me, if you can, there is a LOT of women that really want to be heard. It might not be this issue but just to feel heard and understood will really resonate with so many of us. We just want to be acknowledged and we are not.

The Labour candidate for Rochdale, Azhar Ali, has apologised after he reportedly said Israel had been warned about the 7 October attack and allowed it to happen.

The Labour Party has issued a statement on behalf of the candidate after the Mail on Sunday published comments from a recording of him telling the Lancashire Labour Party that Israel had been warned of the attack before it happened, but they “deliberately took the security off”.

Her understanding of the situation is probably little worse than that of many backbenchers without any expertise in the area, or indeed many QT panellists who are not politicians.

I’m implying that she’s a single issue expert. Nothing wrong with that. It was a perfectly valid comment in any context apart from this echo chamber. Yes, backbenchers and commentators display their ignorance on QT all the time, no reason why there shouldn’t be one more.

But you don't actually know that, do you? You've a preconceived opinion as to her knowledge. You do know it's possible to be knowledgable about more than one thing, right?

This isn't an echo chamber as people with alternative viewpoints post and are debated with. It's not that we don't consider those viewpoints, we just don't agree with them.
