Although, this isn't about trans rights, it's about women's rights people arguing in bad faith don't want to understand this though. Though it's interesting to see the opinions of the public.

I think KJK showing it's about women, and the loss of existing rights, and not being anti-trans, will certainly help.

Yes part of the battle is how to frame it

Notice TRAs always go with trans

Women need to go strongly on women. KJK does this as do others

It’s not easy but everyone trying is better than not

(bar those pp who actively work against it)

UltraWoman · 10/02/2024 15:11

This board does not represent mainstream public opinion, it reflects an extreme view. A lot of people deliberately avoid the debate because its controversial. Therefore I doubt KJK is going to cut through in any meaningful way.

you couldn’t be more wrong! @AdamRyan

the debate is not controversial at all, no males in women’s spaces

you’ve only got to look at the aggressive, violent behaviour of the masked up men and useful idiots at the “let women speak” events to see why women have been unable to speak about it.

KJK is cutting through the bollocks and people can see that

this board and forum are not “extreme” views, single sex spaces and privacy and dignity for women and girls is not an extreme position or controversial

That's the thing. The general public in no way reflects the strong opinions of both sides.

Some of the people I follow on Twitter who were outraged at the Sunak comments I know are also against males being in female sports. They don't see the sharp dividing lines that people on either side see.

A colleague at work deliberately acquired a Rainbow lanyard to wear at work (they're available to us but we're not pressured to wear them and most don't) so you'd think she was firmly on one side wouldn't you? Yet later we shared a laugh and an eye roll at some pronoun lunacy. That's how people are and it's hard to see how Posie "transwomen should be sacked from teaching jobs" Parker is going to rally mass support in that climate.

Yeah, Keir can sound a bit tw*tlike" in his circumlocutions. But guess what, so does half the population!

But I'm glad she's standing I'll either be proved right or wrong about her level of support but it's always good to know what the reality is.

This is such a good post.

BezMills · 10/02/2024 15:23

we would especially like to welcome all of the representatives of the Illinois Law MRA enforcement community, who have chosen to join us here in the MN Hotel Ballroom at this time
We do sincerely hope that you all enjoy the show and please remember people, that no matter who you are and what you do to live, thrive and survive
There are still some things that make us all the same:
You, me, them
Everybody! Everybody!

EasternStandard · 10/02/2024 15:24

Of course there’s cut through on this

Isla Bryson did it with one image in pink leggings

The right image or words (woman with penis or whatever) and it cuts through easily

Every single (and totally justifiable) thing you ve listed has come about during 14 years of Tory rule.

Yet you want Starmer to explain.

Its really up to the Tories to tell us why they have allowed all these awful abuses to happen in recent times.

Why do you include "homosexuality" have you something against same sex relationships?

For most people, except those here, this issue has gone under the radar. The tories didn't know what end was bloody up.

Theresa May was at the pink news awards promising all sorts of shit.

Not something you'd see today. And the reason is because now people are more aware.

It's the tories, in the shape of Kemi Badenoch, who are trying to get this under control. But they are hampered by the laws. And a lot of cowardly, sexist MPs, of course.

Labour, on the other hand, are promising to make it easier to legally change sex, won't say what a woman is, and have ostracised Rosie Duffield, etc,.

It shouldn't be political. I agree. Both parties need their feet held to the fire.

But the Tories are, at least letting Kemi make decisions. And she definitely gets it, all of it.

And in terms of homosexuality, Stonewall have decided that it's not based on sex any more. That there's no such thing as same sex attraction, that a heterosexual man and woman can be described as a lesbian relationship, and unless lesbians include men in their dating pool, they are 'sexual racists'.

I would like the government to confirm, as per the bloody equality act, that homosexuality is based on biological sex, not gender identity.

God forbid there's ☀️ ☀️ ☀️☀️☀️

Probably a good idea to remember that the sun shines on everyone...

Nothing to fear when upholding women's rights!

Sealwright · 10/02/2024 15:28

If there is a local candidate I'm voting for her

Yes what’s bad about sex based rights?

And biological facts?

I don't think Badenoch is the friend to women you think she is. I think she has a very traditional out look beyond her stance on trans issues. Husband Hamish seems to be a big influence over her. Not too sure about his politics, does anyone here know much about him?

Who gives a fucking shit what her husband thinks about anything?

Is Kemi attempting to sort out women's rights in relation to single sex spaces? Yes. Do we have to agree with everything else she - and her penis-holder husband - do? No.

When will you lot get that we are happy to have her assistance on this issue but it doesn't mean we agree with everything she does?

It's so tedious now.

Agree. JC her husband?

Bloody hell do better

IClaudine · 10/02/2024 15:34

Who gives a fucking shit what her husband thinks about anything?

Because he is a big influence on her, he shares her bed and pays for her home. Hang on I will dig out the quote she gave in the Times.

ETA quote

In relation to the idea that she was manipulated by powerful men, Badenoch said her husband, Hamish, was more of an influence. “If there’s somebody who is doing that, wouldn’t it be the person who goes to bed with me every night and pays for my home and so on? Hamish is a huge influence on how I do things. Which I think is right, because this job affects his life.”

DuesToTheDirt · 10/02/2024 15:37

More people don’t vote Conservative (or Labour) than do. FPTP has a lot to answer for.

Meanwhile in Scotland proprortional representation gave us the batshit Scottish Greens. I used to be pleased about that, and voted for them too - in the days before they were batshit.

Is it relevant to her proposed reforms of the EA to ensure single sex spaces for women? If not, then it's not relevant.

Do you care about Starmer's wife's politics, or is it only women that are overly influenced by their partners?

And, my god, he pays for her house? Yeah, it's not like shes got a job or anything is it?

NoWordForFluffy · 10/02/2024 15:38

Because he is a big influence on her, her shares her bed and pays for her house.

So her salary has nothing to do with their finances? And you're not an MRA? Try fucking harder to disguise it, maybe.

borntobequiet · 10/02/2024 15:39

Dear oh dear. I don’t think this is the board to bring husbands’ influence in.

FWIW I don’t agree with most Conservatives on most things. But I even agreed with Liz Truss on this.

So what?

Does Starmer ‘share his bed’ with his wife

Actually wgaf?

What a bizarre attack on anyone

Yes, that was a disaster. But there must be something more representative and less damaging than FPTP.
