Evidence re GC women and white supremacism please?

From my, and many other people's observation, over the last couple of years, the UK GC space, especially on twitter, has progressively merged with both the US MAGA/Christian nationalist space, and those of UK white nationalists.

It is not easy to make sense of that X thread, but this statement is one I want information on. I don't do parroting, I believe in critical thinking, evidence and independence of thought, and I have learned to be deeply cautious of being accidentally vaccuumed into the 'so and so smells so do what I tell you' strategies so very tediously rife at the moment to get people in line and useful to others, we live in very grotty times.

So please would some kind person provide me with evidence that women wanting rights, equality and single sex spaces are entangled with religious extremism and white nationalism? Actual evidence. Not aspersions, but evidence.

Why would British GC women want to ‘make America great again’?

It shows they know little about UK Christianity to compare evangelical UK churches to the American white Christian Right. Many of the growing evangelical churches in the UK have African links and there isn’t a big Christian right in the same way - most churches sit on the left.

There was a thread a while ago (and no I don't have the link. Can't be arsed digging it over again) where I was shouted down by multiple posters for suggesting that GCs agreeing with and supporting right wing people, who were speaking out against TRA, would result in a dangerous association in people's minds between the 2 groups opposed to TRA. Apparently I was wrong and everyone knows you can agree with somebody on one point only while disagreeing fundamentally and silently either everything else.

Oh look. GCs are now getting tarred with a far right brush. Joy. GCs are not very good at PR.

And am sure I will be told I am wrong.

JCJ is worried that at some point in the future women wanting rights and equality in the wrong way and not being sufficiently guided by those that know better may accidentally arouse the far right.

Not even West Yorks police would try taking that to the CPS.

If I want to evidence for example the homophobia rife in the TQ activist movement I can pull up articles explaining the views and desires going right back to the first cotton ceiling articles, some of them in the national press broadsheets; I can pull up at least one radio interview on the BBC with a senior person in a position of power and policy creation explaining that gay people are sexual racists; I can show you pictures of the art exhibition celebrating the battering and murder of lesbians as part of a proud TQ history; I can pull up hundreds of social media tweets and fb screenshots of homophobia that you'd need a packet of Kwells to read, posted on the mainstream internet and most of which wasn't moderated or deleted. There's a (fairly) coherent set of wishes for the rights that should be removed and lost by others, a lot of fairly batshit explanation but there is explanation, and an attempt to actually sell this to the general public and policy makers with the aim of achieving something.

Where is it for this rather serious allegation?

I’ve seen quite a few racist posts on here unfortunately, but MNHQ are fairly decent when it comes to deleting them once reported. These posts have included the n word and also belief in the great replacement theory.

But where are the left wing/liberal parties tgat are supporting GC views and where are the left leaning newspapers that seem gender critical. People are always moaning about being politically homeless. People often comment uncomfortably that the main papers are the daily mail and telegraph.

I dont get how you can be gender critical in the uk and not notice that you have uncomfortable bedfellows. Its certainly something i find really uncomfortable.

It isn't our fault that left leaning newspapers are cowering under the desks petrified of misgendering a rapist.

I'm not wild about having to look to the Mail and the Telegraph to find out what's going on whilst the Guardian and the rest either say nothing or comes out with mealy-mouthed #bekindisms. Because I expect better from the rest of the Press. I doubt I'm the only one, but hey, that's the world we live in.

I find it liberating to find facts wherever they may be and to have long stopped deciiding that whether something was factual depended and where it came from. Having seen 7 years of lying by parts of the media over this issue I'm content to be reliant on facts rather than to feel an obligation to rely on sources that will use misinformation when it suits their favoured narratives.

I think that is a gross calumny and I I invite @BoiledBeetle to lay this accusation to rest.

So women saying they want women only sport, safe spaces etc., are doing that from a basis that women as a sex class are oppressed by men. Right wing or evangelical groups are doing it from a basis of sexist stereotypes.

I see this a lot, and I am always surprised that people think this. Yes, there are a few people, who might be described as nutters, who really believe stuff like that.

Most people on the right believe, or even Christians on the right, in a pretty mainstream view that there are some differences between men and women, based in biology, that affect behaviour and the construction of social patterns, and that this is ok and often supportive of women and mothers in particular.

What they don't typically believe is that women are worth less, can't do hard jobs, shouldn't be educated, shouldn't go into politics, can't wear pants, or anything like that.

This idea that most GC people and these people on the right are coming from some radically different perspective is very exaggerated. To a large extent both are coming from the view that the so called science supporting it is bogus, and that people and kids especially need to be taught that their bodies are inherently good, and part of who they are, and that being a man or woman is about your reproductive role, and that it's important to have respect for our bodies and appreciate their health.

Most American Christian evangelicals aren't racists either though.

I remember one thread here accusing an American evangelical organization of racism. It turned out one of the leaders is married to a black man. Of course the inevitable "she can still be a racist" was trotted out.

Most Christians in the USA are Catholics, and the majority of those (especially under 50) are from Mexico, Central America and South America, a la Pope Francis. There are a huge amount of US Catholics with roots in the Philippines, Nigeria, India, Vietnam, Korea - all over the world in fact.

It's the height of ignorance to call Catholics and other Christians racist. It also shows how completely ignorant anyone saying this is of US demographics.

People who don’t believe you can change sex make up the vast majority of human beings on the entire planet. And that includes the ones who won’t admit it out loud. It’s ludicrous that anyone would think a shared belief in reality has any political meaning.

It’s not a “dangerous association”. It’s a deliberate conflation. It’s vital to trans activists that they tar anyone opposed to their ideology and make people nervous about opposing their ideology, so they can further their ideology. Making everyday people believe that believing in reality is somehow akin to racism and extremism is one of their tactics and many have fallen for it. Most people haven’t and plenty are now saying “nah, I just believe in reality mate, don’t care what you think that makes me.”

In my opinion it’s because screaming “transphobe!” at people has become less effective as people realise it means things like they don’t want rapists in women’s prisons. So TRAs are looking for something else to scream at people hoping people are too afraid to push back. Being branded a far right/fascist/evangelical Christian is that new tactic.

It won’t be long before a new association is attempted. It will be discovered that someone who drowned a bag of newborn puppies also thinks rapists should not be in women’s prisons and we will all be branded “PUPPY KILLERS!”

I don't trust banks so I gave it to my totally legit and trustworthy mate Nicola to look after, she said she'd keep it safe in her campervan.

unfortunately I haven't been able to get in touch with her for a while and the campervan has disappeared off her mother in laws drive.

I'm sure she'll be in touch at some point and then I can distribute it!!
