Doula UK apologise to me for distress caused by online bullying.

And they are one of a growing number of organisations who are seeing sense.

I’m really pleased for Milli. It’s high time these pious bullies were stood up to and told to wind their bloody necks in, so I’m glad to see it actually happen.

highame · 10/01/2024 14:30

Took their time didn't they?

MrsOvertonsWindow · 10/01/2024 14:37

Very pleased to see this. They all know it's bullying don't they? It increasingly seems that it's impossible to sign up to trans demands without sacrificing your ethics and moral code. Bullying, smearing and harassment (mainly of women) being the tools needed to enforce such dubious beliefs.

Rightsraptor · 10/01/2024 14:49

'Independent midwives… a little army of unique and emotionally intelligent women who are experts in normal birth'.

Some speaker at an independent midwifery conference demanded that the above be removed else they wouldn't speak at the conference. Thank goodness the conference organisers didn't play the ridiculous game demanded of them by this person. But what on earth is wrong with the statement? Is it the use of the 'W' word? If so - women, women, women (thumbs nose at silly people).

They are beyond belief.

CormorantStrikesBack · 10/01/2024 14:50

I’m glad of this outcome for Milli. She’s right to stand up and report people for bullying.

I think they wanted any quote from Milli removed. So it was the author not the content which was the issue.

IWilloBeACervix · 10/01/2024 16:37

I’m glad they’ve acknowledged the bullying and have apologised. Will they act accordingly and stop the bullying in the future? They’ll have to face down a few tantrums.

I think maybe it was just the fact that Milli said it! Can't have a quote from an evil Terf.

ArabellaScott · 10/01/2024 16:43

Glad to hear it. Well done, Doula UK.

suggestionsplease1 · 10/01/2024 18:54

I wonder if Zoe Williams will receive an apology from Mumsnet for bullying from its members?

Her sexual history being discussed, called an idiot, sinister wishes that she gets to experience the consequences of her support for trans rights....

Feminism at its best eh.

SirChenjins · 10/01/2024 19:07

Excellent news for Milli - well done to those organisations

You're right, I don't think any of the bullying for Milli Hill stooped so low as to pass judgement on her sexual history, did it?
That's just reserved for Zoe Williams, presumably.

Theinnocenteyeballsinthesky · 10/01/2024 19:24

Yeah yeah buuuut what about something totally unrelated eh? eh?

Absolutely unrelated, but folk on FWR seem to think it's fair game to bring up 🤷‍♂️

Zoe Williams is a columnist in a national newspaper which gives her a platform to expound and defend her views. Milli Hill on the other hand.......

So therefore she's a legitimate target for commentary on her sexual past?

What sort of feminists are you on FWR?

ArabellaScott · 10/01/2024 19:49

The wrong sort, clearly. As I said, send all complaints to our governing body, email in post above. Thanks for your feedback. We value your input.

fabricstash · 10/01/2024 19:52

Great news! I have Millie's 'the word is woman' pin badges and it's such a great design and a good talking point about language and clarity

MrsOvertonsWindow · 10/01/2024 20:11

Very very pleased to see this news. And always a relief to know that many of the women involved in this community do still hold sound women centred values rather than prioritising anti-women rhetoric as dictated by the men.

Igmum · 10/01/2024 20:46

So pleased to see these little rays of sunshine. It isn't much, but it still cheers me up. Good news

Mytholmroyd · 10/01/2024 20:50

That is excellent news for Milli - about time!

SirChenjins · 10/01/2024 21:03

If you have a problem with any of the posts on another thread @suggestionsplease1 then report them. As far as I can see the individual posts on that thread are simply referencing Zoe’s previous articles in which she writes about her sex life in candid detail.

Otherwise, back to the OP which brings some very good news for women.

People were quoting her past articles that she WROTE ABOUT HERSELF. SHE discussed her own sexual history.. You just don't like that they don't think she's very bright.
