SDA: gender affirmation shuts down a teenager exploring their identity. Adam thingy is quibbling. He hasn't been quibbling with Cleo for some reason.

The Court of Session found in favour of the UK government over Section 35.

Dear God - Geoff Barton (the Headteacher union leader) doesn't appear to know that if a child says their parent will beat them up, that's a safeguarding issue!

36 years of teaching: Cleo says teachers bullied gay and trans kids when Section 28 was in force. I would absolutely refute this. And only in the last 10 years have trans children existed in my experience.The vast majority of teachers treat pupils with sensitivity whoever they are.
Cleo has no actual understanding of safeguarding and how it works in schools.

For once, an interesting discussion about toilets. SDA talks about the relevant government departments, the guidance, and safeguarding. According to Cleo young people want male students identifying as girls in girls' toilets and vice versa. It's all about making life easier for a small group. It's all about what "young people want". Cleo said Gender Intelligence has huge experience of safeguarding. Chinny reckon over that. SDA points out that adults have the responsibility to safeguard.

So pleased to hear SDA pointing out the adult responsibility for all this and how girls will be relentlessly bullied if they dare speak out.

Cleo again provides the justification that it's all fine because there are only a small number of trans students.

Nobody needs medication and irreversible surgery to be a goth.
They can stop being one whenever they choose 😉
