How is it possible that men can say they are women and have unfettered access to females in their safe spaces?
How is it possible that we are medicating children against puberty?
How it is possible that a woman can be raped on a female hospital ward by a man claiming to be a woman and then gaslighted to be told a man was not on the ward?
How is it possible that men are claiming titles, sponsorships and medals in women's sports?
How is it possible women and females are being literally erased from so many spheres of life, including health/medicine and marketing campaigns? How come the same isn't happening to males?

As a lesbian do you like "lady penis"?
Or do you actually know that men remain men whatever surgeries they may have had, and are just on the "be kind" train?

I have absolutely no time for women who do this to other women. They are literally pimping them out to men, regardless of consent. Whether stupidity or intention, they are making a choice to harm women they see as other, subhuman, whose suffering and exclusion isn't a problem. It's revolting when there are answers that would work for all.

But would involve men having to accept some boundaries.

She "doesn't get it" because she has not seriously tried to. She's clearly never had a proper coversation with anyone. If she had she wouldn't be so dismissive. And even if she had some disagreements she would frame that disagreement differently. She would at least acknowledge some of the very real issues.

Of course she has her own thoughts, but they are blinkered and filtered through the rosy tint of her immense privilege. She's lived her whole life amongst the liberal/artistic/theatrical elite; wealthy, educated, erudite eccentrics. Gender non-conformity, particularly in men, is utterly unremarkable in such circles, and I'm sure when someone mentions transwomen it's fellow media chum Izzard who springs to Sandi's mind - darling Eddie/Suzy - so funny, so brave, an absolute poppet who wouldn't hurt anyone and just wants to be accepted as Eddie/Suzy's true beautiful self.

Sandi is not thinking about Barbie Kardashian, or Katie Dolatowski, or Amy George, or of the women and girls they have abused and terrorised. As far as Sandi's concerned those people are pantomime villains created by the nasty tabloid press, which is only read by common, uneducated people who don't have Sandi's great Cambridge-nurtured insight into humanity, which enables her to accept and love and be bountiful, and to so generously give away the protections she has no need of.

Slightly off topic but that’s an absolutely heartbreaking story to hear. That poor woman. I’m a man and I can promise you most men would never want to go near someone like that if our presence could have a bad affect on her.

Toksvig has had a good education, appears quite intelligent and no doubt has access to a wide range of quality information sources. Consequently, I credit her with fully grasping the issues that arise. I conclude that she knows that women in prisons and hospitals are being assaulted and suffering trauma, that disabled women are being made to accept opposite-sex intimate care, that girls are being molested in public loos, that women are being expected to get naked in changing rooms with males, that women's sports are being shat upon, that material reality itself has been deemed subordinate to magical spellwords, and so on.

She knows.

And I must respectfully therefore suppose that she has no doubt conducted a deeply intellectual examination of the issues, and come to the conclusion that making penises happy is far more important to her sense of belonging and self-worth.

Just to add that like many people, I used to see the progressive rights being won over time...suffragettes, Civil Rights in the US, gay acceptance, gay marriage....transgender acceptance? There's a lot of people who think sexism - sorted, racism - in progress, homophobia - sorted, now we just need to fix transphobia. And if you don't support trans rights, you're clearly a sexist, racist, homophobic pig!

I used to think like that (until Lia Thomas). I think many people still do.

There’s no excuse for Sandi not to “get it”. It’s a topic that’s discussed widely nowadays and there are plenty of resources with which she could “get it” - here, books, so on.

So I’ll put it down that she doesn’t want to get it, because that would mean stepping outside her privileged luvvie bubble and engaging with uncomfortable truths.

And that just makes her a massive fucking disappointment.

I remember being so innocently enthusiastic about the WEP when it came along and a bit puzzled, even a bit miffed that posters on FWR didn't seem so keen, due to something around the 'trans issue', which seemed a bit of an obscure point at the time, compared to the other things happening to women in the world. Oh little did I know...

However, it was the same FWR conversations around the WEP that peaked me, as soon as I understood the implications of the WEP stance for female spaces. Including men seemed to make the whole idea of a party 'for women' nonsensical. And I never went back down that particular mountain!

But never, ever could I have predicted the events that followed...from the horrific (the persecution of Kathleen Stock, Milli Hill and so many others) to the brilliant (JKR and Maya Forstater winning out).

I would like to say to Sandi Toksvig....I've stayed up nights with my client while she is reliving her gang rape. Holding her while she shakes with fear that men will so much as look at her and she looks at them. You have NO IDEA what you are giving away but I know. My client knows.

But lesbians are being excluded NOW because they make feminism look bad. Women who only want sex with other women are vilified by the libfem fluff Sandi thinks is feminism.

That's not something that happened in the past - lesbians have always been at the core of feminism. But it is certainly happening now and Sandi is cheerleading it.

She doesn't want to get it. Money and popularity mean so much more than the precious lives of women and girls.

Maybe her lot of feminists were fine with lesbians and just didn't like her. She's always leaned toward being a pompous know-it-all so it would hardly be a stretch to imagine she wasn't well-liked.

It is not just handing over other women's rights, it is literally presenting men with women to use, and supporting that those women either consent and strip or lose their access to that space, that sport, that resource, that bit of health care. In the case of prisons and hospital wards, those women have no escape.

How vile do you have to be to think using your power and voice to sell those women's bodies for male use is ok? How 'other' do you have to see those women?
