Just curious to see what the answers here might be.

Feel free to answer any way you like, and I don't care about derailing. The question is quite tongue in cheek, don't take it too seriously, and have fun with it if you want, rant if you want. I'm trying to get a picture of the MN mood.

Yes. Wish you’d put it in AIBU then we could see the voting results

YokoOnosBigHat · 25/10/2023 09:54

Fuck no. And I worry about the sanity of anyone who would.

Do you not think that's a somewhat extreme, in fact bigoted, statement?

Maddy70 · 25/10/2023 11:02

No

newnamethanks · 25/10/2023 12:53

It's not April 1st. Are you feeling OK OP? The answer is "of course not".

BrownTableMat · 25/10/2023 15:45

Fuck, no. But then I’d rather gnaw my own right arm off than vote Tory. And especially for the right-wing nut end of the party

MadeleineMummy · 01/11/2023 08:13

No, she as much a right winger with a lack of sense and empathy who would destroy this country as much as the next Tory.

Not if your working on Einstein's definition "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results."

You mean like voting for Labour and expecting them not to destroy women’s rights?

True

TooBigForMyBoots · 01/11/2023 15:23

No, I mean if you keep voting for the same Tory government that have wrecked women's rights and the UK during their 13 years in power, your just going to get more of the same. I think that's what @YokoOnosBigHat was saying. It's not an extreme or bigoted post.

Thankfully most people have already worked it out. More will work it out between now and the next GE.

Labour won’t do more of the same - they will allow self ID so the word ‘woman’ becomes meaningless. Women’s rights will no longer exist because women will no longer exist as a distinctive group from men. The word woman will also be removed from literature and anyone suggesting a man is not a woman would be liable for arrest for a hate crime. Labour would also make it illegal to do anything other than affirm a child’s belief that they are the opposite sex and give them harmful treatments. We know this because this is exactly what they are doing and what they are voting for NOW.

Bobbotgegrinch · 01/11/2023 17:04

Christ no, I wouldn't vote Tory if they offered me a Billion quid and to be their leader.

Recent clip of her:

Will I vote Tory? No. Over my dead body!

But well done Kemi 👏

This isn't a single issue general election. I'm concerned around economic, environmental and educational policies. Badenoch would be more of the same in all 3 areas. She is, if anything, more extreme than the current leadership (although less extreme than Braverman). I can't fathom why anyone is saying yes. Have you looked beyond one issue?

This! 💯

I'm seeing a strange trend in the replies so far.
Yes answers tend to be a one word answer.
No answers tend to be more descriptive/rantish. A lot of never Tory no matter what.

Because they are horrendous OP

SnapdragonToadflax · 03/10/2023 14:16

I wouldn't vote Tory under any circumstances. But I think Kemi Badenoch is one of the worst, with very extreme views, and I fear her being leader at the election after the next one.

I'm not voting on a single issue, and I don't believe for a second that Tories actually care about women's rights.

ok, aside from destroying women’s rights, what do you think Labour would DO about these issues? Is there an economic policy in Wikipedia that Rachel Reeves can cut and paste?

RudolphTheRedNosedSpaniel · 01/11/2023 18:12

@SaffronSpice the Tories do NOT care about women's rights. Shame on anyone who votes for them.

Labour do not care about women’s rights, they are actively destroying them and criminalising anyone who objects.

SaffronSpice · 01/11/2023 18:20

And you haven’t told me what they would do on education, economics or the environment; though we know for starters then intend to remove planning restrictions that protect the environment, and push queer theory into schools.

I get the Tories are awful. However I think this summary of Labour's approach to women's rights is both accurate and scary as hell.

How any woman - or msn for that matter - could bring themselves to vote for these things in our country is way beyond my understanding.

TooBigForMyBoots · 01/11/2023 20:03

Labour ditched Self ID a few months ago.

What about the pesky GRA? And the GRA ruling today in Scotland?
