Haven't seen any discussion on MN so apologies if I missed this being posted. Labour have dropped self ID? When? I feel so out of the loop (I blame the summer holidays. Hell on wheels, my god. I can't remember the last time I had a pee without being interrupted never mind read the news)

Labour has not changed its policy, it has merely changed the marketing.

Labour has looked at Scotland and realised that their policy is a dog turd so it needs rebranding. They have wrapped it up in paper and scribbled 'Green and Browns' on the outside to convince us that we are buying upmarket chocolate but there is still a dog turd inside the wrapper.

They still believe that TW are women. They think they can legally change sex (as per the GRA) so a TW in womens prisons and changing rooms is still okay. They are hiding behind the small print. They were also touting it as a safe space, not single sex space, has that been changed?

Nope. As Jane notes above, they are still selling the sex fudge, just in a different wrapper.

The only thing that differs from the Tory stance is the Tories actually put male sex offenders in women's prisons.

They facilitated and implemented the TRA agenda. Mostly in our schools.

It’s difficult to believe the gender war is over when you see Roisin Murphy being cancelled by her own record company, and a judge finding a vicious criminal not guilty of inciting violence against women.

I agree. This part is incredibly slippery

And no answers as usual.

As for gender wars over it’s a strange take. Sounds like another way to minimise and get women to stop talking about it. Which Labour want more than anything, do whatever just don’t ask us or talk about it.
