I thought this merited a separate thread instead of my posting it on the main 'Glinner cancelled in Edinburgh' one - happy to remove if not.

Andrew Doyle has just tweeted that, after a second venue cancelled the Comedy Unleashed gig with Glinner, the gig is now going to Holyrood.

OMG I have followed the flying lawyer’s narcissistic rages for years and knew all about - or thought I knew all about - his criminal convictions. Shocked to hear about the ones for child sexual assault. Hope his victim is Ok and recovering. Surely this must sound the death knell for his vexatious legal activities?

Great stuff! I've been following it all unfolding on Twitter and cheering lots. His style of delivery may not have always been that "clean" but his tenacity and passion for getting the message out there of the harms being done, particularly to children and women, have been incredible. Not to mention how great his comedy has been over the years. Well done Glinner and gang! 💪

It's not the most flattering photo. Maybe a nice bobble hat would balance things out.

Without saying or knowing whether it was inspired by KJK, what this pop up venue solution has done, is shown how much complete clap trap is written and said about Glinner and others speaking up for women's sex based rights, when an open air venue means it is in plain sight.

If only the well know street video person (whose name I've forgotten) had been there to record it and share online.

Even if it wasn't the best show in the world, it would illustrate that the over the top rhetoric by TRAs is just hot air and spite.

I dont doubt there will be full tantrums on social media and attempts to misrepresent, but this whole catalogue of own goals by the TRAs will have had an impact.

So thanks to @Glinner for staying strong and to the fellow comedians who didn't pull out. And whoever got that tiny stage and mike in place.

I'm astonished (but very happy) that none of them ever learn by it. You'd think they would have by now.

Maybe because Glinner mentioned Hayden’s convictions. Although not libellous (because true), there are laws preventing media outlets from referring to a person’s spent convictions.
