I thought this merited a separate thread instead of my posting it on the main 'Glinner cancelled in Edinburgh' one - happy to remove if not.

Andrew Doyle has just tweeted that, after a second venue cancelled the Comedy Unleashed gig with Glinner, the gig is now going to Holyrood.

Most Fringe audiences are tiny so the cancelling has just brought this show to a much wider audience. If the Arches had just shown it hardly anyone would have known about it and the newspapers wouldn't have been interested. TRAs don't understand how publicity works

Also Glinner stating the media protects sexual predators,and them going to a man who was written in favour of PIE members,and adults having sexual 'relationships' with children , is unintentionally hilarious 🤣👍

Is it just me or has the tone of both the media reports and the Twitter response been surprisingly factual in the former case and supportive of Glinner in the latter?

There are some rather sad bods trying desperately to make fun of how Graham looks and the fact he's divorced, but other than that I get the feeling that public opinion has shifted very firmly in Linehans favour.

It's always telling when people resort to ad homs.

FWIW my 13 year old DS has just discovered The It crowd. He has autism and anxiety and watching The IT Crowd is the about the only time I see him fully relaxed and delighted with life.

Yes, exactly, imo. 'Even' the Guardian reported it fairly neutrally. And that poll! And in Scotland!

I had a bit of a 'you can lay down your sword' moment earlier, re the Herald Scotland poll. The tide has shifted - not is shifting, as many of us have said only recently. Yes, there is lots left to do, and many shocking cases appearing weekly/daily - so I am not laying down my sword just yet. But in the UK at least, we have won.

On April 27, 2023, Surrey Police arrested Farrow again, and applied for a stalking protection order (SPO) against her, in defense of and with the full support of Hayden. She was served on June 5 and ordered to appear in court on June 8, but when she arrived, was told that the police barrister needed additional time to review the case. After this, the SPO was dropped.

Does this mean we can finally let Felix in on who has been causing CF shit now?
