This shows the arrest of a teenage autistic girl by about 5 police officers. From what I can make out it is for a 'hate' crime. She apparently said a police officer was a Lesbian. Her Nan is a lesbian - that police officer is like my Nan.

I cannot comprehend the mindset of these officers.

As a lesbian who finds it difficult to believe understand that a lesbian would feel so very insulted by a kid likening her, in some way° to another lesbian, I'm wondering if Officer "Sic 'Em Boys!" was so indignant because she's been trained to regard female same-sex orientation as "akin to sexual racism'".

Or was someone spitting the dummy because being seen as a lesbian involves being seen as a woman?

So on the evening /night of 7th February 2023 WYP Inspector Madden reviewed the detention of a 14 year old girl in custody?

Then the following day publicly tweeted all about it, in detail, including specifics of the girl's relationship with family and how she felt that she was a lesbian?

What purpose did that serve a vulnerable child, apart from her distress being used as opportunistic fodder to big up Madden?

An Inspector who keeps online company with someone who makes threats?

I doubt very much that there was another 14 year old girl in custody that night.
Another vulnerable kid let down by WYP.

How is that homophobic? The Police have NFA'd the Homophobic Public Order Offence which was the girl saying the Police Constable pictured looked like her lesbian nan, so how is that meme homophobic?

Interesting that Mumsnet FWR can muster these hundreds of comments on this incident, memes etc in the light of all the harms that exist against women in the world that they are happy to remain uncommented on and unaddressed.

You can't have RTFT, either - the Police Officer is the one we think is homophobic. Of course there are hundreds of comments on this "incident" as you call it - it's a very serious matter.

You can get bet your bottom dollar thus police officer ensure this of conversation day in, day out. And maybe, it sounds like, she called it wrong this time after being at snapping point after snide abuse levelled at her most days of her working (and probably non working days) of her life.
