Stickering

I sticker regularly to raise awareness and they all get removed. Why is this? Other stickers aren't. Why can't people express their opinion? Took great pleasure in ripping down the Trans rights poster that's just appeared in my neighbourhood. If my stickers are removed, so will their poster.

"Privacy and dignity- you are in a locked cubicle aren’t you when you are using the toilet? Is it just the washing your hands that worries you? Have you never washed your hands in mixed company before?"

You really don't seem to have much experience of the reality of female people's uses of toilets. Why is that?

Kit7 · 10/08/2023 11:48

Back to stickers. Yes good idea to deface someone’s property for your vendetta.
don’t like the company’s inclusive approach - shop elsewhere.

https://wildwomynworkshop.com/store/sticker/individual-stickers/fuck-nice-raise-hell-feminist-sticker - two of these stickers depict female anatomical features. Are you going to expose children using these toilets to this for your own selfish reasons?

The shame of a pictorial depiction of a set of ovaries! Oh... and the one with a shadow shape of a clitoris!

You really are reaching out of your depth aren't you.

Please continue with posting in this misogynistic way. You really are doing a great job here.

The thread is about stickers being put in toilets. Do keep up. If you want to buy stickers and put them up in your own home or your own business then crack on. The link posted had clear things indicating women’s body parts. One sticker describes it as a clit!

Risk to trans women-
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/hate-crime-transgender-uk-figures-b2196759.html amongst others easily available. Trans hate crime is high. Most attacks are by men. Since you think men or people with penises or used to be men are dangerous in the women’s toilets wouldn’t you think someone with boobs and a dress would be at risk in a men’s toilet?

As for prisons I’m not sure that’s relevant, unless the OP is stickering prisons too?

Please link to the data behind this article. Just posting an article is lazy and is prone to spreading more misinformation.

For instance, please be very specific how many of these crimes that this article reports is for 'attacks' and what is 'misgendering'. Because any reader of this board knows that 'misgendering' was included in this hate crime report.

So, please don't be lazy and just post an article. Post the actual data and let's go through it.

I did a Google on loss of male sexual function when using feminising hormones. Apparently, 3 out of 4 TWs are concerned about this. The good news for them is that loss of male sexual function and libido can be avoided simply by masturbating to ejaculation at least once every two days.

I guess that means that feminising hormones ain't protecting us.

TheHappyCarrot · 10/08/2023 13:02

Thanks Op, I've been inspired to go and get stickering, especially since a couple of posters here are getting riled by it.

Even if they get removed, the message gets seen so every little helps.

Helleofabore · 10/08/2023 13:05

Here you go.

www.gov.uk/government/statistics/hate-crime-england-and-wales-2021-to-2022/hate-crime-england-and-wales-2021-to-2022

"due to significant improvements in police recorded crime made in recent years, it is uncertain to what degree the increase in police recorded hate crime is a genuine rise, or due to continued recording improvements and more victims having the confidence to report these crimes to the police"

Plus:

'Transgender identity hate crimes rose by 56 per cent (from 2,799 to 4,355) over the same period, the largest percentage annual increase in these offences since the series began. Transgender issues have been heavily discussed on social media over the last year, which may have led to an increase in related hate crimes.'

and

"A hate crime is any criminal offence which is perceived by the victim or any other person to be motivated by a hostility or prejudice based on:"

a person who is transgender or perceived to be transgender, including people who are transsexual, transgender, cross dressers and those who hold a Gender Recognition Certificate under the Gender Recognition Act 2004

Considering we already know of several people who have indeed been reported for 'hate crimes' due to their social media activity which does include being 'untowards to paedophiles' and for stickering and using words that people don't like, I think that you might want to revisit your use of this report. Unless you care to go through the actual data and try to match up what was assaults (physical attacks) and what was "any criminal offence which is perceived by the victim or any other person to be motivated by a hostility or prejudice based on:"

Of course, no person should be threatened or assaulted, but also, note there is no statistics collated for hate crimes against women based on their sex category. Gosh.... imagine the stats for that!

So, in light of the article you posted (which also includes graffiti as a hate crime), would you like to clarify what you meant by "Most attacks are by men" and whether that relates to this data? If so, please post the link directly to that claim so we can all see it please.

Kit7 · 10/08/2023 13:07

Hope the appropriate organisations fine you / ban you for defacing their property.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 10/08/2023 13:09

Would you say that if they were pro trans stickers? Because there are a lot of them around.

Kit7 · 10/08/2023 13:16

My gosh you and or several other people have made a point already that most violent and sexual crimes are done by men. I certainly don’t dispute this. Are you saying it’s actually women who are doing this to transgender people? I think it’s much more likely men. Don’t you?
Yes statistics can be notoriously difficult and as you say a lot of them can be misleading at times.

While we’re on the point of statistics - do you know what percentage of improving anwa awareness of some people’s obvious transphobia and or fear of men / people with penises has been helped by buying and applying stickers to other people’s property? What is the actual aim of them?

Did anyone do any research suggesting the cleaners needed more work before giving themselves a pay on the back?

Don’t people have something better to do with their time and money? Statistics say we’re having our income squeezed more than ever. I’m sure the stickers are cheap but you could spend it on something more productive surely?

Kit7 · 10/08/2023 13:22

To be honest I’ve never noticed pro or anti trans stickers. I’ll keep an eye out though in future. I’d be annoyed if someone put any stickers on my personal or business property

Ereshkigalangcleg · 10/08/2023 13:23

Are cleaners only affected depending on the politics of the stickers, or are you generally against stickering, @Kit7 ?

BernardBlacksMolluscs · 10/08/2023 13:25

Some people do tend to get upset when others show any kind of agency

Ereshkigalangcleg · 10/08/2023 13:25

Cross post. Thanks for answering, I'm glad you aren't a hypocrite.

BernardBlacksMolluscs · 10/08/2023 13:26

You don’t want to talk about how the thing that you think is right (men in women’s loos) directly led to a 10 year old girl being sexually assaulted then @Kit7 ?

Helleofabore · 10/08/2023 13:26

You clearly didn't actually read the post you are responding to. You seemed to have missed this:

Considering we already know of several people who have indeed been reported for 'hate crimes' due to their social media activity which does include being 'untowards to paedophiles' and for stickering and using words that people don't like, I think that you might want to revisit your use of this report. Please provide the crime statistics for 'attacks' and what this includes. You posted an article, you couldn't even be arsed to post the report it discussed or give any comment on the report that contributed to the conversation.

I think that your lack of any evidence at all to support any of your posts is pretty clear to everyone. Just as your misogynistic posts have show readers probably more than you expect.

Please do keep it coming.

Kit7 · 10/08/2023 13:27

@BernardBlacksMolluscs perhaps I’ve missed that if so apologies - do you have a link to an article?

oh. no... google is your friend. Isn't that what you have told us! So you are a hypocrite now?

Kit7 · 10/08/2023 13:31

@Helleofabore
They have mentioned a very specific thing I have not heard of and asked for my view, so I’d expect them to send me a link to it ideally. Otherwise if I go and find a link it may be the wrong thing and then they won’t get my view on the article they’ve requested. I hope that makes sense to you.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 10/08/2023 13:33

You haven't heard of Katie Dolatowski? Now is your chance to be better informed, Google is a good resource for this although the algorithm is a bit suspect. But you should find the plain facts of the case.

PorcelinaV · 10/08/2023 13:37

As for prisons I’m not sure that’s relevant, unless the OP is stickering prisons too?

It was an example that where there is genuine risk, you don't try to solve the problem by creating new risks for women. That doesn't make any sense, and it's unfair.

Now with toilets, where is the evidence that trans women are even under threat?

But if there is a risk, then same principle as prisons, you don't try to solve it by creating problems for women.

We aren’t even talking about letting just trans women in. It will be any man in a dress can come in. Or really, any man that is "non binary" but "feels more comfortable" in the women's.

So you basically want to let ALL men use the women's toilets because of a problem we aren’t sure even exists? And if it does exist, it's a problem of male violence and why should that then be pushed over into women’s spaces?

Helleofabore · 10/08/2023 13:39

yet, you tell us to go and google things and cannot provide any evidence to support your claims.

Why should you demand it of us, when you don't seem to be able to do it when asked?

That is hypocritical. I hope that makes sense to you.

Like sports leagues are starting to do, bathrooms should be split into 'open' and women's categories, with the latter restricted to female-only.

Plus the disabled bathroom of course, which is like the Paralympics.
