I've had yet another account banned from all of Reddit for arguing against the trans propaganda. For comments made on the "Change My View" forum of all places.

Thinking about creating a new account to continue the argument but this censorship has got me so annoyed. Am I just wasting my time trying to convince strangers on social media?

There are many women's and women's rights subs on Reddit, with women talking to other women about various topics.

I'm guessing, do correct me if I'm wrong, you wouldn't like those subs because they don't tend to talk about trans people and they would quickly throw out anyone who showed up only wanting to talk about trans people in an ill manner?

Yes I too decide how female friendly a subreddit is by how inclusive it is of trans people.

An update I've reported some of the hate posts on the sub and had my complaints upheld, posts have been removed and some accounts have been either temp or perma banned.

It is handy for all the so-called "gender critical" users of reddit to gather in one place, doesn't take much time at all to scan them and report all the hate.

It is very clear it's a replacement for the banned GenderCritical board, the posts are dominantly about trans people, and I browsed the history of one of the posters and saw her give abuse to other women on reddit who don't hate trans people.

Hate doesn't belong on reddit, twitter might stand for it but reddit won't.

Is this fun for you? Silencing women? Did you read any of the posts? Women are desperate for somewhere they can speak freely. There are so many niche subreddits. For example, the rape fantasy subs, the abusive porn subs, the age play subs, why don’t you redirect some of your energy there? You’re coming off like a child whose mum told him no he couldn’t go to his older sisters play date. Not everything is for you, not everything is about you.

Personally I don't care much about individual forums that can have whatever moderation or focus they like. I may think their moderation is silly or reflects cowardice, but it's not a big deal to allow individual forums to have their own rules.

When you have admin that want to censor the discussion more broadly across the entire site, then it's more of an issue that it's biased behaviour and against free speech, even if they have the legal right to do it as a private company.

ThenAgain · 10/10/2023 22:08

I got admonished and a comment removed for ‘misgendering’ Sara Rodriguez, who plays Che Diaz in And Just Like That. It was hilarious. I think it might be an intelligence thing, from what I can tell.

It’s like being told off by a child for saying the sky is blue. Erm, ok, Amiee.

They're all overrun by aggressive, woman hating TRAs and other males, who even had the gall to take over all the threads relating to female health issues. Reddit is an incel playground.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 10/10/2023 22:13

and Twitter is an unmoderated hellhole where users are free to throw around hateful slurs.

Twitter is much improved. Everyone has free speech, not just some.

Reddit is a boys playground. A bacon slapping, balls tickling, neck bearded swing set of the internet.

Yep. It always has been, always will be. I feel like I need a shower after visiting.

Bacon slapping!! Shock

I meant to write back slapping Grin Freudian slip!

Improved how? The use of the word "groomer" increasing by 1200% since Musk took over?

I see it every time I go on twitter, and it's always used as a hateful slur towards anyone who is LGBT or any public figure who remotely expresses any support towards LGBT rights?

Free speech doesn't mean you get to name call and throw around hateful slurs.

Anti-LGBTQ+ hate on Twitter reaches terrifying levels since Elon Musk takeover

Anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric has increased on Twitter since Elon Musk's takeover, a Media Matters report has found.

Maybe don't go there if you dislike it so much? Just a suggestion.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 11/10/2023 00:21

Such a shame for you that the moderators won't silence women you don't agree with on your say so any more. Still, there's always Reddit.

I could ask you the same Q.

r/GenderCritical has been banned for promoting hate. Reddit doesn't permit new subs to be created to replace or provide the same purpose as banned subs.

So why not just leave Reddit be when you know this isn't allowed there?

Gosh, why would someone spend time on a website hoping to make a change?

it’s a toughie…

“Promoting hate…”

Hmmm. It is strange. Stating facts is hate, is that correct?

Threatening women with kerb stomping, being punched in the face etc is not hate?

Sorry. There seems to be a problem with this definition of hate. Stating facts is worse than threatening women, doxing them, reporting non-crimes and creating a world that is not safe for anyone who understands it is not possible to change sex.

ZuttZeVootEeeVo · 11/10/2023 06:51

Reddit is defined bacon slapping.

In the time women's views of gender ideology have been stifled on the site, gender ideology has been unravelling in real life.

Which indicated that those who have been spending a great deal of their time monitoring the site and reporting different views have been wasting their time.

guild · 11/10/2023 06:54

Are you open to changing your view? If you're just there to state YOUR view and then not listen to others, I think I know why they're banning you...

Which view? I have to admit, there is no part of me that is ever going to accept kerb stomping as a legitimate way to debate.

Funny isn’t it? Men have the loudest voice, the most strongly held opinions and don’t listen to women. Women are told we have to listen, try to understand and be kind.

i did listen. I saw women being shamed and bullied, all because some people will not accept reality.

ArabeIIaScott · 11/10/2023 08:03

Women who refuse to do as they're told will be banned, I presume is what guild meant.

I don't post on Reddit, for all the reasons I've mentioned.

What the fuck?

The "no debate" side wants to lecture other people about being open minded?

And no, they don't ban people on Reddit for that reason, that's nonsense.

"Thanks for submitting a report to the Reddit admin team. This user has already been investigated from a previous report on a different piece of content. After investigating, we’ve found that the reported user violated Reddit’s Content Policy and have taken action."

The message I usually get when I report posts on the new gender critical sub, looks like I wasn't the only one who thought the people on it were posting hate.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 11/10/2023 10:11

Yes, Reddit is highly misogynistic so it's not surprising. Now do hatred by men against women.
