Honestly…anyone who thinks a male should be allowed in a female prison is an idiot.

The Scottish Government claimed it wouldn't, and that if it did they had it covered. "The Bill includes safeguards against misuse of the system. It will be a criminal offence for applicants to make a false application." But how would they know, since their only criterion for being trans was to say you are trans? (Any idiot can change their gas bill and wear a dress for 3 months).

I would be very interested to know how long those six TW in the female estate have been in prison. My gut feeling is that they've all been there quite a while. I would really like to know more about this.

I've said this before but of the roughly two dozen TW I've known in prison, the vast majority were sex offenders. A small number were vulnerable men held on a VP wing, who were groomed by sex offenders. It is never "safe" to place TW in a female jail, just like it's never safe to place even the most butch transman in a male prison.
