UK hospital finally admits ‘transgender’ patient raped a woman after denying it was possible for a year - LifeSite

'It has taken nearly a year for the hospital to agree that there was a male on the ward and, yes, this rape happened,' the House of Lords heard.

https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/uk-hospital-admits-bowing-to-gender-ideology-after-denying-a-patient-was-raped-because-accused-man-is-transgender

This patient should never have been allowed on a women's ward. It should have had it's own room if it didn't want to use the male ward.
How the absolute FUCK was this allowed happen???
That poor woman in her own apparently safe single sex... Words are actually failing me.

Surprises no one unfortunately.

RoseslnTheHospital · 27/06/2023 11:11

The news article is from over a year ago. Has there been some recent update to this case?

Confusedmumannoyedson · 27/06/2023 17:22

I think some would cover these type of crimes up and claim that they never happen. Also crimes committed by men who feel they are women are often recorded as by 'women' but obviously and factually people cannot change their biological sex so women cannot rape women with female penises because for those hard of hearing WOMEN DO NOT HAVE PENISES.

nothingcomestonothing · 27/06/2023 18:56

I raised a concern re the annex Bstyle trans inclusion policy at my hospital with exactly this concern. The reply I got was that the hospital were not aware of any examples of this, and they felt it was more important that 'they' (i.e., trans identifying males) didn't feel discriminated against.

So yeah, this never happens and if it does not enough times for us to notice and anyway, males potentially having hurt feelings is more important. I've got it in writing so that they can't say they weren't warned when this all comes crashing down, but that won't help the women who are collateral damage in the meantime Sad

Lightningstrikess · 27/06/2023 18:59

@nothingcomestonothing but it's OK to discrimate against the women in the hospital wards who were told they would be in a single sex space only to have a man lumped in with them.

it’s disgusting. It’s disgrace. The attempted cover up and telling a woman she wasn’t raped is absolutely vile.

It just proves that these people don’t give a shit about women. They can cry trans women are women all they want. But they don’t treat transwomen like women. They treat women like shit to protect biological men. If they were treating transwomen like actual women they would have thrown the biological male rapist under the bus the minute it happened.

They wouldn’t have lied to protect a woman patient sexually assaulting another woman patient.

Not only is it okay, if the women object to being in a bay with a male, the staff have to gaslight them that there aren't any men there, or risk being put through disciplinary procedures and possibly reported to police for a hate crime. The absolute disregard for women is all there in black and white and approved as official policy Angry

SoWhatEh · 27/06/2023 21:53

Should be so simple. Patients who have a willy and or balls cannot be placed on a women's ward. We call these patients 'men'.

Indeed. You could even say that people who thought otherwise were, well, stupid or something.

BabyStopCryin · 27/06/2023 22:14

So were the police called? If so, did they just take the hospitals word that there was no man in the ward? Did they carry out a medical check of the women and collect evidence/dna? Was security cameras accessed? Was all staff/ other patients interviewed?

Whose head is going to roll?

sparkysparkus · 27/06/2023 22:16

It’s fucking outrageous

Yes the police were called and unbelievably medical staff apparently lied to the police. Hopefully there will be charges against those who lied for perverting the course of justice.
It's now being investigated (at the normal glacial pace that offences against women usually seem to take) but there's no doubt the hospital will be doing all it can to keep it all away from scrutiny.

FunkyBuddha85 · 27/06/2023 22:21

Horrific. This happened in a prison too a while ago, although I forget where.

Nowthenhere · 27/06/2023 23:04

In prisons, there's a wing called VP. It's for vulnerable prisoners.

Why can't there be a vulnerable patient's bay? Where there's security 24/7 and cameras in all directions.

Anyone who feel that they are trans regardless of what that is physically! could be given the best and safest time in hospital and far far away from others.

Because that isn't what the trans person wants, that would be othering, to suggest they are somehow different from the other women is discrimination. I'm not kidding, that's where 'be kind' and 'no debate' and 'most marginalised and vulnerable™' has brought us to.

And staff are told that they cannot acknowledge to women who object that there is, in fact, a male in the women's bay, because that would be breaking the trans person's confidentiality (like it's not fecking obvious), and breaking patient confidentiality is a disciplinary matter.

Transwomen don't want to be in a separate bay, so fuck what issues that might cause to women patients or to staff forced to lie or risk their job, because what the trans person wants is all that matters and anyone who objects for any reason is just a bigot who doesn't deserve any consideration anyway.

You may be able to tell that I am quite annoyed about this.

Lightningstrikess · 28/06/2023 07:43

@Nowthenhere I asked the same question before & was told it would be segregation to seperate the trans person from other women!

Is there any information anywhere / does anyone know which hospital this occurred at? It feels important to know. There are now a number of whistleblowers in this area, and if this happened at a hospital where concerns had been raised and ignored, this would be important if there were legal proceedings/litigation.

Baroness Nicholson has been on the case - and Sex Matters have commented on it:

Have the NHS staff been prosecuted for these disabled hate crimes?

Have their vulnerable adults and children in their homes been safeguarded from them?

If not why not!
