Team Starmer has had Danny Beales, Labour's candidate in the #UxbridgeByElection and an enthusiastic Trans Rights Activist delete Tweets like the one in which he proudly announces spending £40,000 on a trans zebra crossing.

They know this ideology's an electoral liability.

Let's hope someone has kept copies other Labour politicians ready for the General election and the rewriting of history. Jess Philips is already doing it.

To be fair, reading it again, he says women’s and trans rights aren’t mutually exclusive which is maybe a bit less disingenuous than saying there’s no conflict.

I'm afraid this is as good as it's gonna get. Make of that what you will.

There's no clash between trans rights and women's rights if your definition of "woman" includes trans identifying males.

Similarly if your definition of "female" includes trans women you can say "women are adult human females" then turn round and open every single woman's prptection up to males without a single twitch in your conscience.

But it's very handy for politicians not to bother clarifying that.

For this reason I don't assume anything about their meaning when people say woman now unless they explicitly clarify whether they mean by body sex or by gendered mentality.

"Trans Rights" presumably mean "no discrimination against trans people". And as MtF trans people seem to think being kept out of the women's toilets is discrimination then yeah - they conflict.

Also, nobody is born "trans". It's not an arbitrary characteristic like skin colour or (we presume) sexual orientation. No man wakes up in the morning to find God has covered his face in heavy make-up. It's a choice, it's a behaviour. Why can't I have an opinion on that?

Starmer will them say that Uxbridge voted for Gender identity and self ID, he will continue this strategy into the GE.

The conservative party are terrible. The left are worse.

I helped write the document that demanded changes in self ID. I literally was part of the group of MPs who wanted change. Spousal veto for example is awful

She was an active participant in the Miller calls for GRA reform. She's only recently spoken about womens single sex spaces in the recent debate.
