I'm starting to get really really fucked off at the centering of these creeps at the expense of their victims.

It is totally in line with the laws and policies in place in California.

I believe this will not stand forever and when it falls it will be hard for people to believe quite how far it went.

In the meantime, yes some transwomen ARE like that. Yes the risk profile for transwomen includes some of the most depraved and untrustworthy humans to ever live.

I genuinely think that’s the worst tweet I have ever seen, and that’s saying something given the competition. Just mind blowing in its awfulness.

It truly sets a low bar for tone deaf. I cannot imagine how the victim’s families felt seeing this.

Of all the issues causing wrongful suffering of people in prison, like rape and violence, this case is the one they have chosen at this time to highlight.

ACLU are disgraceful, but what does that make the system that has just put Dana Rivers in a woman's prison?

Cry me a river. Basic human dignity would be not being brutally murdered and raped. That piece of shit deserved nothing. I'm against the death penalty, but I am not sorry that man is dead. I am sorry that the executioners are made into state sanctioned murderers themselves - but that man. Nope.

This is honestly one of the most despicable, horrifying things I have read on Twitter. How, just HOW can anyone think that the feelings and "gender essence" are of any importance?

Where was the tweet in remembrance of those poor women? The parents of that 14 year old they never got to see graduate, go to college, get married, have children? Where were the condolences to the 2 children who had to grow up without their mum, who's gruesome rape and murder they would undoubtedly have read about on the Internet?

It wouldn't surprise me if this tweet was from one random sicko (there seems to be an abundance of them on Twitter) but this is a large, previously well respected organisation tweeting this. I am honestly so bloody mad about the absolute disdain and disgust they are showing for women.

So this is where their priorities lie??? With rapists and murderers?

Oh God. I was quietly rejoicing that this particular piece of misogynistic excrement had finally gotten the life without parole that was the bare minimum he deserved. It stupidly hadn't occurred to me that he would be put in a women's prison. I can't see this ending up as anything other than another appalling tragedy waiting to happen for some other woman/women not too far down the line..

These things initially make me think that’s a spoof account tweet. Then I remember how things are now and renember it could actually be real.

Assuming it is real, does the ACLU not think that man would want to transition to argue for their move to a women’s prison, where there will be women to terrify and rape?

Or that if a man repeatedly commits the most misogynistic and male of crimes, it’s because they are a man?

There should also be a community note pointing out that the ACLU is now run by a rampant trans activist and everything they stand for is controlled by them

Remember that the ACLU won’t take on the women who are fighting the impacts of males being allowed into their sports. That has been left to the conservative ADF in most cases. So too detransitioners cannot seek justice via ACLU.

No ACLU prioritise rapists and murderers. To be clear, rapist, murder and then rape again after the murder committed if I remember correctly.

With this tweet they have declared they hate women.

IMO this seems like a good time for US feminists to push to ensure their equality law clarifies the meaning of sex, protects sex based rights, and creates a hierarchy where sex based needs trump gender wants.

I suspect that they'll issue a "Look how horrible everyone is, poor most marginalised etc, no wonder they're driven to awful things by a hateful society..." thing, which will go on for about 97 pages, without a word of truth.

The ACLU stopped being a force for good some time ago. But this is a whole other level of stupidity....

This is terrifying. Is this a majority view in the US? This is Taliban level misogyny.

I hope that has been archived for posterity and then I hope that organisation either eats humble pie or implodes and disappears. The comments are giving them the kicking they deserve. They're beyond parody now.

I might even join twitter for the single purpose of telling the ACLU exactly how low they have fallen.

They don't seem to engage with other Twits though. Which just makes them feel goady.

I strongly suspect it's not a majority view. Things are worse in the US but that also means that members of the silent majority are even more likely to self-censor (particularly given the weak employment rights that apply in the US and what that means for your healthcare)

The ACLU is complaining that a convicted rapist and murderer didn't have his woman hating fetish accommodated whilst in prison.

What does it take for these disgustingly captured organisations to fold ffs???
