I have just stickered the Pride poster in my town - see photo! I also put a few on Oxfam's window, but didn't have a chance to take a picture.
Am on a bit of a high😆

Not only that, but the founders of Stonewall themselves (eg Simon Fanshawe and Matthew Paris) have distanced themselves from its hijack by trans activists.
Fanshawe is a leading supporter of LGB Alliance, which has split completely with the TRAs, in order to protect gays and lesbians from the intrinsic homophobia of the trans movement, which denies the very existence of same sex attraction, trying to replace it with “same gender attraction” and pushing men into lesbian dating apps and groups.

Speak to gay people?

I think you’ll find there are a lot of gay people whose views are very much aligned with the views expressed here, indeed there are many gay people who post here and many more who post about it on Twitter.

Lesbians were amongst those who realised soonest what would happen when men were allowed to claim they were women and invade women’s spaces and erode women’s rights.

There is no hive mind of gay people.

Indeed! There's a great video linked to in this thread: https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/womens_rights/4825708-excellent-interview-with-julie-bindell-douglas-murray-about-pride

Excellent interview with Julie Bindell & Douglas Murray about Pride | Mumsnet

So great to see 2 highly intelligent pp, from opposite sides of the political spectrum have such a respectful, thoughtful and highly entertaining disc...

Congratulations on making the gay community feel a little less safe today OP!

Very well done.

Yes, those stickers telling the truth can be very very dangerous

Yep, bravo! 🙄
Also manufacturing an argument with your family in order to put up stickers, the happiness vibes are abound

Go and speak to gay people on the ground, in the real world. Mumsnet FWR views have no alignment with our community.

Oh you mean the queer and T community, not the LGB community.

The lesbians I know are in no doubt that men can't be lesbians.

HTH.

terfsintown · 14/06/2023 13:27

Thanks for the support from most people, and for @BodgerLovesMashedPotato it was a joke about the argument with my DH 🤦‍♀️

Very well done.

And the people in this who aren't safe are women - lots of evidence of this (2-3 women a week murdered by male partner or ex-partner for a start)

Well done OP, love the thread title too.

AutisticLegoLover · 14/06/2023 13:36

Well done lass! @terfsintown. I love ribboning as well as stickering. So far my ribbons are still in situ at one place over a year later or maybe 2 years now I can't remember. I'm going to London soon and have some stickers and ribbons at the ready.

terfsintown · 14/06/2023 13:38

Ooh I have some ribbon I must put some up!

That video was a breath of fresh air. Sometimes when you look at things (like The Guardian) which you’ve used as a trusted news source when you were growing up, you start to wonder is it just me? Then you watch that video by people who are knowledgeable and can articulate it better and realise it’s not.

I was so amused that it's 'Nam. I was in Nam back in 1998... for a day trip

terfsintown · 16/06/2023 13:38

I put a 'let women speak' sticker up on the bus shelter this morning - will be interested to see how long it stays there for!

I know one of our neighbours is a rabid TRA (said 'people with ovaries' on a street WhatsApp group 🙄) and she walks past it every day.

IcakethereforeIam · 19/06/2023 10:09

Brilliant. Is the bus stop sticker still there?

terfsintown · 19/06/2023 12:15

It was last time I checked!

OP posts:
terfsintown · 19/06/2023 12:16

I also walked through the Pride parade on Saturday sticking 'celebrate diversity by silencing women' on any 'Progress' flags in shops etc

OP posts:
terfsintown · 19/06/2023 12:17

An advantage of be a grey haired overweight middle aged woman is that I am invisible, especially in a sea of flags an elf ears 😆
