Haven't been for ages. If they actually did get Independence, they wouldn't be able to blame their ridiculous incompetence on someone else. Countless former SNP members have left to join Alba or ISP.

As an Englishwoman sitting a long way from Scotland, I have always thought that the SNP are like a dog chasing a motorcycle. It's great fun but they have no idea what to do if they catch it.

The data dump of civil service expenses reveals public money being spent on nail polish, yoga classes, midge repellent (perhaps an essential in a Scottish summer),

Now come on! No one who had ever been bitten by the bastards would have an issue with that expenditure!

Midge repellent is possibly less effective than a midge suit, certainly I've found it so as it's easy to miss a spot but the damn midges find it. The suits are not pretty - and hot - but more effective. Still - why is the tax payer covering those costs? My employer would not have paid for midge repellant for me, even if in an area where it was needed. They certainly would not have paid for yoga classes.

A coffee machine I can understand, I might even get fast track at airports - they certainly needed the books on how to run a government.

I was looking up how much Sturgeon's advance could be and found this piece from February in the Guardian. What an extraordinary order of the brown nose from Ms Jones...

Thanks for the article.
I was sort of surprised how concillatory Salmond sounded, and then interested in how negative Sturgeon sounded. She really comes across as a mean spirited asshole considering what she did to him. He has far more justification then she does to feel stabbed in the back by the other.
The more I find out about her the less I think of her.
