I think that's letting senior management off too lightly. They knew exactly what they were doing, IMO. It was a conscious pivot, in order to benefit from the gravy train for 'progressive' causes - NGOs, UN, Gates Foundation, Soros etc (NB I do not believe conspiracy theories about Soros - that is all anti-semitic rubbish - I just think his foundation - like many - promotes gender ideology at the expense of women).
No doubt, Oxfam told itself it was for the greater good: women were acceptable collateral damage, in order to secure more funding, which would ultimately benefit everyone. But you cannot embrace misogynistic values without becoming misogynistic.
